Seaside hotels near Seaside Aquarium

Cons: Breakfast was very basic.

Cons: Found dried salsa on the carpet, cookie chunks under the coffee table. The place was pretty good, but needed a much deeper clean than just wiping things down.

Cons: The continental breakfast was wildly unimpressive

Cons: Kind of lame breakfast but that's what I expected for continental. Non smoking facility AND property and they are kind of rude about this rule.... informing another guest that they better move because there's a fine for smoking on the property.

Cons: I found it a little strange that all the TVs in the building are queued up to play Fox News, but it's not like you can't change the channel.

Cons: the breakfast could be a little better also the water got shut off for 30 min there should've been some of compensation for the inconvenience

Cons: A bit noisy on the street end of the hotel

Cons: No free wi-fi in the room. Every other hotel has free wi-fi, why can't this one?

Cons: Wanted the pool water heated not just the room

Cons: A number of plugs didn't work. The rooms were not as well maintained as they could be. Clock didn't work and so on... Wifi costs $10. 2002 much?

Cons: Someone went through the back sliding door and stole expensive wine we had that we were saving for this trip and also some food we bought for the trip. Our room was upstairs so we didn't think we had to lock the back sliding door leading to the balcony. We figure only Spiderman can get up there. In hindsight, we saw that the back balcony is connected to the balcony of the room next to us, and someone can easily hop over. We know they went through the back because the hotel staff did an audit on the front door and found only our keys were used to get in. Also, the only things missing were right by the back sliding door. This was way too coincidental. Although we're grateful they didn't take anything else, like our electronics, it's still annoying. Moral of the story, lock everything when you leave! Seaside has some shady people apparently.

Cons: It was a very cold weekend and the room was a little chilly as there is only a small wall heater, I get that it is a historical building, it was not a deal breaker and we just cuddled a little more ;) Could hear neighboring rooms nighttime activities.

Cons: Old fixtures, but the price break is worth it.

Cons: The only thing bad about the room really was a shower head. Just a crappy old one that should be replaced.

Cons: Didn't know about small kitchenette so didn't bring food with us, Also bathroom decor was out dated but didn't change our opinion.

Cons: I booked this hotel for 2 main reasons: they had a pool AND they had a free breakfast. The pool. Was. Disgusting. Clumps of hair floating around and sand all over the bottom of the pool. Maybe they just clean it once a week and we just arrived on the last day before they cleaned it? We didn’t even swim in it because of how bad it was - we just sat on the side for a few minutes debating on if we were going to go in. Breakfast was also super disappointing. Sugar in everything and super cheap foods. Please don’t let “free breakfast” entice you like it did me. I ended up just buying a meal anyway...

Cons: The place is really old in the rooms. It needs to be updated from like 20 yrs ago. For example, most tvs are now small flat screens. The hotel still uses the old tube tvs. The room just feels dirty because everything is so old. When we came into the room the trash from the previous guests was still there. Honestly, we got a cheap deal on it, but I probably would never stay here again.

Cons: The bathroom,closet area was a bit small for us. We could have used more counter space overall.

Cons: The hotel for sure could use an update and a/c units . by my room being on the first floor there were was no screen for the sliding doors so bugs could get in if you decided to open the door to let the beach breeze in and also would loved some sheer curtain for privacy .

Cons: The things we didn't like were minor - an informational binder that was out-of-date (TV channels that weren't listed correctly, no instructions for using the DVD or accessing Wi-Fi, at least one restaurant listed no longer exists), a toilet that didn't flush very well, very squishy pillows.

Cons: As it stated on the checklist, my room did not come with a/c however they did provide a fan. That's the only con for this hotel :)

Cons: The facility could benefit from an elevator for those who are not as physically capable, but still would enjoy an upper room/view.

Cons: If you like a very firm bed this is the place for you. When booking our room, we believed we would have an ocean view. Not so. When we were checking in we were told that going through the internet as we did we would not get an ocean view. Very disappointed. Will go back to the old fashioned way of booking a room - via telephone. That way we really will know what we can expect.

Cons: Where do I begin! Well to start, 12 hours after booking online I called the hotel to let them know I had car emergency & needed to either move or cancel my reservation by one day because I want going to make it that far. The girl who answered was outright rude and inconsiderate. She flat out told me "I don't care if you've had an emergency. You book a reservation for a reason. You didn't give us 48 hours notice. So I'll just let this reservation ride thru" when I asked to speak to the manager I was told "he has better and more important things to do than come talk on the phone" I asked again for her to please get him so I could at least move my reservation. She replied "like I said before. He is helping clean rooms and you'll be waiting a very long time. Just call back later!" When I told her I didn't mind waiting because I wasn't going to have service the rest of the day and wouldn't be able to call back. And that she wasn't being very costumer friendly. She said "excuse me?! Listen here... don't call me the day of your reservation and tell me how to do my job. I don't know if your def but my manager is busy and you can call back later." When I asked what her name was she replied with "that none of your business" and hung up on me. I then called back on another number and asked to talk to the manager and he was put on within seconds. (I find that odd since he was busy cleaning rooms) I told him what just happened & was only told "well sorry what can I do for you?" After I told him that I wouldn't make it up to Seaside that day and I only needed to move my reservation. He let me. Then comes today for check-in: I arrive at 4:30pm (checkin is at 3pm) and no one is at the desk. After waiting for nearly 10 minutes someone pops their head around the corner and says "we are still cleaning rooms. So just come back" I was very confused because I was here after check in. I waited and the lady looked at me like I didn't understand she returned to the back office and out came the front desk man. After giving him my info I am told that only 1 room was clean and he had no idea when the other one would be clean. Even tho I was upset I let it slide. (Me thinking that everyone else in my traveling party could hang out in my room until it was clean. Well.... when signing the receipt I saw it said 1 king room. (When I booked and had already paid for 2 rooms with 2 queens in each) when I asked about it. I was told "kings are what you selected! And I'm booked completely. Most people want king size beds" I then showed him my receipt on my phone showing that I paid and booked for what I had mentioned. I was told "well that's not what my computer is saying and there is only one thing I can do.., and that is to put a roll out bed in one room" Extremely frustrated I asked to talk to the manger only to be told "he is running around the hotel and is busy cleaning rooms." lomg story short I got moved to the rooms I paid for. HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE!!!

Cons: Everything we paid for the room on line! And wanted us to 263+ 10% more for incidentals. We didn't bring that card w/ us. Wanted to give them cash 4 incidentals. So we couldn't stay!

Cons: The room had a sour smell---like the carpet needed cleaning. The room darkening shade was falling off of its runner and you couldn't really close it.

Cons: You could hear everything that went on in the halls. There was sand in the bathroom and kids were diving in the pool even though there was no diving signs and a worker in there that would have said something to them

Cons: Tiny room. Like really small. And I heard all the neighbors around us.

Cons: The queen room had an outdoor hallway with a light outside the window. We couldn't open the curtains or open the window for fresh air.

Cons: I was very tired and at around 9pm a loud drilling noise came from right next door. Even the front desk customer service attendant was shocked the noise was that loud. I just wanted to rest and I was called by front desk twice for reasons that were not relevant.

Cons: Can’t think of anything.

Cons: Wifi was very poor on 2nd night (worked fine on 1st night); front desk was not able to assist Strong marijuana smell on our floor - unpleasant

Cons: Tiny room, horrible young lady, rude no patience at all, was a weirdo. Charged me for a service animal that I showed upon arrival, and someone else's bar tab, rooms have A n B like 404A etc. She was terrible on the phone and at the desk for two nights, not good

Cons: I prepaid for the hotel and the staff charge me again via my credit card. After explaining the problem to staff several times they said they needed to charge my card. I call the site where the booking occurred and they said there was no situation where this should happen. The Desk manager needs training and staff need not manufacture and answer that they think will resolve the problem. Be aware that this a frequent occurrence at this Hotel
