The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the varied options for breakfast. Rooms were had the basic essentials, but were very cosy.
The Old Rectory Hotel is stunning, the architecture of this old building is absolutely superb. The rectory set well back from the main road with a long drive leading up to it's impressive main entrance. The grounds are very well kept and the view from our location over looked a very neatly cut lawn and countryside beyond. The staff at the Hotel were just brilliant, we arrived very late and was greeted by the night porter who was both helpful and freindly, something that you don't often get ariving that late at other hotels. The suite (Room 14) was superb in good decrotive order and very comfortable with seperate shower room and bath room. The general manager of this establishment should be very proud of all there staff.
Room was very nice and clean. Good selection and quality of food. Hotel grounds were lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. Did not get there in time for dinner but were offered a sandwich on check in.
family room well planned and breakfast good
Lovely, homely atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent food
Very friendly staff. Good food with very good service. Pleasant, relaxing, quiet location.
Music played over hotel system was intrusive into our room (room 1), however it was only on between 6 and 11 in the evening so if you are out in the evenings it would not be a problem.
Very nice hotel in lovely surroundings. Would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone wanting a quiet break in the countryside.
