Our room was really comfortable and the little en suite shower room was just right for our needs, but when I wanted a bath it was great to have the beautiful shared bathroom too. Having the pub restaurant serve good value pub style food was a great advantage but if we'd wanted something else there were a couple of places just across the road. The staff were really thoughtful in helping us get around with cabs and suggesting other places to go in our spare time. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bus to the station runs past the pub, which means that you can get to Eden and Heligan, as well as other local spots, by changing at the station.
Tea and coffee were topped up straight away when we asked but I think it would have been nicer if they'd been replenished daily as a matter of course.
the staff could did everything to make my stay a good experience, they helped me to realy feel welcome from the start. they also informed me of local events.
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really tasty and freshly cooked. would stay there again
I thought the Duke of Cornwall had a great atmosphere. A good old fashioned pub. The food was well cooked and reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. My grandsons liked the modern flat screen tv which is unusual in this price range.
Although the rooms were not ensuite and you had to use a communal toilet I think this is reflected in the price.
A warm welcome and excellent room and a dinner menu that was delicious and well presented
