Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was ideal, right in the heart of the Mumbles but perfect for exploring the Gower Peninsula. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Cen and Ali are perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfasts were superb!
Cons: All good
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: As above
Cons: Fantastic location overlooking Swansea Bay. Far reaching sea view from our attic room. Easy walk to mumbles for the restaurants and cafes. Had fab meals at prezzo and bistro pierre, just a short walk from the guest house. The room at tides reach was lovely, was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and tasted lovely. Cen and Ali are exceptional hosts. Ali is "head chef" and Cen is "front of house". He offered advice on great places to visit that we would not have known about otherwise. Overall a great stay in a lovely place 👍
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect! Cen & Ali we’re the perfect hosts. I’d highly recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Delicious breakfast; very welcoming hosts and a very comfortable and clean room. We wanted for nothing. Thank you.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A great breakfast served by very hospitable owners. The location is facing the sea and close in good proximity to the town centre. Overall a great place to stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our hosts Cen and Ali were welcoming and very helpful. The accommodation and breakfasts were to a very high standard and we were made to feel very much at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in The Mumbles.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a lovely stay at Tides Reach Guest House. Cen and Ali were so welcoming. The Covid measures in place worked really well. Breakfast was delicious! The location is perfect for exploring the Mumbles. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was spotlessly clean and everything was so well organised.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice location and great hosts
Cons: Hairdryer?
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast really good. Bacon & coffee excellent
Excellent 10.0
Cons: All excellent
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Thank you for a brilliant break
Cons: What an excellent guest house. Very clean., food was brilliant and the owners were lovely, couldn't ask for anything else. In these covid restrictions they couldn't have made us feel safer every pre caution was taken. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Last minute same day booking which they were happy to accommodate. Everything you need in walking distance. Made to feel very welcome, I’m guessing the other guests were too as there was plenty of friendly conversation between guests at breakfast which was included in the price. Quality traditional breakfast with the timing of the poached egg perfect ( you can always judge a place on their poached eggs ). All round great experience especially as it wasn’t planned. If I am ever heading over that side of Wales again from Kent I will definitely be stopping here again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautifully decorated throughout. Hosts really welcoming. Responded asap to my enquiry about parking. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It is a lovely property in a perfect location, near to shops and restaurants and the beach.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast - given COVID restrictions Breakfasts were organised really well, with wonderful selection and option of bacon roll or breakfast pastry delivered to our room. Check in and checking out was seamless.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable with a seaview, separate TV room and spacious ensuite. The breakfast was delivered to your room (due to Covid) and comprised of a bacon and egg sandwich, fresh fruit with yoghurt, orange juice and a pot of tea. (Vegetarian opion available too). The location was directly on the seafront within walking distance to the village of Mumbles and the beaches of Bracelet Bay and Limeslade.
Cons: If you didn't manage to get one of the free car parking spaces at The George next door, then car parking cost £6 per day.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room comes with a very comfy bed, good storage, practical sink, lovely views over bay with table & chairs by the window (perfect for breakfast until restrictions ease for eating downstairs), tasty breakfasts, handy kettle & instant hot drinks, friendly and helpful host. Great location with delicious restaurantson your doorstep (book ahead), icecream parlours and old school fun with the arcades too.
Cons: Parking but the logistics are unavoidable in this area. You do need to get up early to pop a new parking ticket in the morning but it coincides with breakfast anyway. The mumbles is at its best when just waking up too. You will love how quiet it is in the morning.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location is perfect, great breakfast and a clean, comfy room. We were lucky to get a room here as it was a last minute staycation due to our flights being cancelled. A lovely place to use as a base to explore South Wales.
Cons: Nothing really, a slightly bigger shower would be good but that’s nitpicking because the space in the room has been used in the best way possible.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location right on the sea front. The guest house was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the Owners were really nice and welcoming.
Cons: Parking was a bit of a nightmare but no fault of the guest house.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location is stunning right on mumbles road and across the road from the sea. Easy to travel round if you have a car to nearby attractions, a really good base to explore. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Room had everything we needed and was cosy. Tea/coffee/biscuits nice touch and new stuff given daily. Shower was great! Definitely would go back
Cons: Room sold as sea view which we did have but it would've been better to be in the front bay window rooms instead of at the side however you can still the sea so just be specific. Mattress was a little hard/springy for me but my partner loved it so just preference. Room advertised as having parking however its first come first serve out of 12 spaces used by lots so just be prepared to pay some days.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location- perfect distance to walk to everything and on the sea front. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. Even though its COVID - they made the contactless check in easy and simple. Place was clean and tidy. Breakfast to the room was a bonus- with the fruits, pastry and breakfast roll! Perfect way to start your day. Room 6- was perfect size- great view of sea from side window. Bathroom was great size and all that you need. There was little lounge area too. 100% recommend a stay!
Cons: This is me just being picky- I wish you could watch TV in bed rather than the lounge.
Good 7.0
Pros: Very freindly couple and location was good.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable and the shower had no power, cubicle was also very small. Missed out on breakfast in dining room due to covid restrictions? Breakfast served to room was ok but no choice on a daily basis.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location, 5 minutes from the seafront. Free off road parking. Fresh, clean modern room and en-suite. Friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: Room had patio doors opening onto a walkway, still within the hotel complex but made privacy difficult.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location for Mumbles and the bay. Great service.
Good 6.0
Pros: Location Decor
Cons: Dated en-suite (20 yr old) with cracked floor tiles & dirty grout. Damaged door & door frame. Noisy deliveries at 6.54 am. No coffee maker/Teapot/Corkscrew/Iron & Ironing Board. Apartment not serviced at all during 3 night stay. No cleaning materials only washing up liquid & a used sponge&brush. Only 2 tea bags for 3/4 Adults for 3 nights not replenished. No telephone/desk or dressing tables. Small double bed in very small master bed, very difficult for 2 Adults to get dressed/ready to go out at same time. Only 1 hairdryer for3/4 adults. Second bathroom was not en-suite it was via 2 internal hallways & the lounge. Ok for a family group but not very private. Other guests feedback report free bottle of wine & cake/Welsh cakes we got 3 out of date mini packs of biscuits dated best before November 2020, 8 months out of date. We were all very disappointed & very expensive for basic accommodation, lacking things advertised. We do not go away for a break to expect to be constantly going to reception asking for items that are advertised as in the apartment. For Superior you would expect A/C, dishwasher, coffee machines, music speakers, daily servicing & all of the items as described on the website.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean. Friendly and perfect location
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Room had mould by the door and window and so smelled Was hot but could not leave window open as no security to stop anyone climbing in and small window was locked Shower was very hot and not able to turn colder Shower head mouldy and door to shower loose

Good 7.0
Pros: The location for The New Gower is so lovely and brings back lots of memories and nostalgia! I was christened next door and my best friend got married there! The outdoor area and seating is really lovely too. The bathroom was beautiful and loved the shower.
Cons: We were disappointed that we seemed to be above the kitchen door which is so so squeaky. It was going until 23:30-midnight and started again about 6am, and constant from there. Mentioned to reception this morning on check out. Just to note the paint work in Horton is quite poor, maybe highlighted by the lovely bright weather we are having and let the room down a bit but didn’t detract from our stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely rooms and friendly staff. Food was excellent.
Cons: Nothing
Good 6.0
Pros: The room we booked wasn’t available, however the hotel admitted it was their error and said we could either move the following day, or have a meal on them. As we were over the initial disappointment so opted for the meal. The evening meals we had were excellent.
Cons: Lack of condiments i.e no marmalade, marmite and hardly any tomato sauce.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very good ! Location okay
Cons: No adjustable shower head.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room and bathroom were good, there was a large balcony with all day sun and a lovely view of the church and valley. I have limited mobility, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Very impressed.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was all Spotlessly clean, the breakfast was lovely and great value for money and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Appeared recently updated. Staff all young and generally friendly and attentive with odd exception. Good location for Mumbles 10 min drive.
Cons: Room (Parkmill) was quite small and some strange quirks. Small bed that could be enlarged if the quite large bedside tables were replaced with smaller. Noisy ensuite fan that has no isoltion switch and always comes on with light so disturbing partner at night. Bin had a non fitting small liner that had to be touched to put things in it. Refreshment caddie in room was a deep tin that had to be emptied are rummaged around in to find what you want, strange in Covid times. Not sufficient drawer space. No decent shelf for own toiletries bags in ensuite elthough there is room for one. Very heavy piece of stone attached to room key but also had fob for front door entry so you have to take it with you when you leave the hotel. Food is a bit hit and miss. Occassions where not enough staff available i.e. 25 minute wait for service at one breakfast.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We’d never been to the Gower at all before so this was a new place for us. The hotel location was very good, being secluded but not far too off the main road. It was a great base to visit all the beaches in the area. The hotel itself and the rooms were fine. Not massively luxurious, but then the price paid does reflect that, but everything was clean and well presented. Breakfast and Dinner were very good. Staff were extremely attentive and did there very best to make us welcome. I’d certainly recommend staying here.
Cons: Nothing really. Considering the current restrictions, we were more than happy with the hotel. I’d like to try the adjacent lodges next time.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All the food was fantastic, the staff were absolutely amazing nothing was too much trouble definitely stop here again , thanks again
Cons: Couldn’t fault anything 👍
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice atmosphere, quiet location and room. Excellent food. Very helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff were lovely and friendly which resulted in a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic 👍 didn't need to eat for the rest of the day.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cleanliness. Peaceful.
Cons: Room 6 required 116 stairs to get to bar and back. It is a BandB so dont expect hotel services.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: A small purpose built B n B edge of village location up a narrow country line .a nice countryside setting
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location good for visiting the Gower Peninsula. Lovely to have breakfast in club house with views overlooking golf course.
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.0
Pros: Althiugh a bit out the way for The Mumbles, it was still pretty convenient. Has off road parking. Room had a safe Good breakfast Friendly staff
Cons: Small attic room which had no view through velux windows. Also room was very hot. Bed was too firm, not comfortable
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff went out of their way to provide me with a gluten free breakfast.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We were on a bike tour - the hotel was very accomodating, finding us safe storage and a charging point for the e-bike. The bar and restaurant were both very good and what we needed after a long day in the saddle...
Cons: The steep hill up to the hotel at the very end of our ride (not the hotel's fault)!

Poor 1.0
Pros: Stayed in the small Byron’s cottage. Clean bed linen and towels, useful welcome pack, ample hot water, lovely location.
Cons: Accommodation very cramped and crammed with old, tired and shabby furniture and equipment. Bathroom very grubby and dated. Living area chairs grubby. Carpet on stairs and upstairs bedroom faded and dusty. Exposed and noisy pipework everywhere.; kept us awake. The whole cottage needs gutting and total renovation to bring it up to the standards guests expect today. No point describing it as an idyllic farm cottage when it was so substandard. It is quite possible to make the interior of this old farm building into something comfortable and appealing but this hasn’t happened. In the circumstances it was very overpriced and we felt very disappointed. No excuses for this, you need to up your game Clyne Farm
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place itself, you are in the middle of nature and at the same time 10 minutes from the center of Swansea. Furthermore, the facilities are very good and the staff is very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cosy and comfortable - the welcome beers and Welsh cakes were a lovely touch when we arrived.
Cons: N/a
Good 7.0
Pros: The location and view is exceptional
Cons: Cleanliness of the kitchen - cooker and hood wasn't great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We stayed in Chapel Barn, the place was lovely, the accommodation was clean, the location was perfect and the welcome gifts of Welsh cakes and beer etc were a nice touch. The staff were great and we would definitely return for another stay.
Cons: It was all perfect - no complaints at all.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast wasn't included
Cons: My single bed wasn't comfortable, the mattress felt a bit lumpy.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Wonderful location with gorgeous views. We all loved the farm animals, bunnies and especially the horses.
Cons: Nothing.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: A great atmospheric step back in time . Wonderful !
Cons: Nothing at all.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: My wife described the house as if Dylan Thomas 'had just popped out for a bit'. The house was an exceptional and memorable place to be, like staying in a time capsule such was the attention to detail. Would definitely recommend. The brief film of Jimmy Carter recommending the house was amazing and particularly poignant.
Cons: All was fine!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Geoff the owner very welcoming and gave a quick tour of the property which was wonderfully atmospheric and much more spacious than expected.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean comfortable and tastefully decorated in room.
Cons: Windows do not open in room 13
Excellent 9.0
Cons: It is not a dislike I booked a small single and it is small my own fault
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good central location and friendly neighbours.
Cons: I had difficulty finding the hotel. I do not have sat nav as I ride a motor scooter. This is not an unusual problem
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Ease of access and the nice interior design of the room. Hotel was also close to shops and restaurants.
Cons: The noise. I was given Room 13 and it was the room right across the main road. After a long drive and a whole day’s work, getting good quality sleep was impossible. One can easily hear the noise of the vehicles and people on the road. I think I was awoken 6 times throught out the night. And one can also easily hear the other guests coming into the hotel building. It was really a rough night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location for the City and to discover the fantastic scenery of the coast.
Cons: Comfortable and clean. The cleaning ladies do an excellent job.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The room was a good size, quiet because at the rear of the property and very clean. The locaation was ideal as it was near cafes and bars as well as 24 hr express supermarkets, which was good as breakfast was not supplied, although there was a microwave and fridge for general use of patrons.
Cons: No parking with this property although there was plenty of on-road parking as students had gone down.
Good 7.0
Pros: Beautiful room! Best kept building in the street by miles.
Cons: Walls are very thin and there were some rather loud guests let’s say, wouldn’t normally mind but when it’s a weekday and 1/2am in the morning - it’s too much! Also if you have a ground floor room, the front door swings shut really loudly so if you’re a light sleeper you may struggle. As a small note, as non coffee or tea drinkers, hot chocolate would have been a nice touch in the room. All considering we still had a lovely time!

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Fabulous location with great views- saw fabulous sunsets. Comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Most staff very kind, friendly and available.
Cons: Bathroom a little tired and in need of an update. I know it's a golf course but our room backed on to where the golf buggies were started up early (for us) in the morning which was a shame. Obviously struggling with staffing/reopening after Covid. Little things like arriving for breakfast with no table laid up for us and all the tables still covered with everyone else's leftovers was off-putting.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff in particular the manager was welcoming and very helpful. Location was stunning and the breakfast after the marathon walk the day before was excellent. Rooms were comfortable. Main reception had a social area that was good to sit in and meet others.
Good 7.0
Pros: Friendly staff going out of their way to make things comfortable despite setbacks. Breakfast was excellent with GF options. Lovely location.
Cons: Mattress on single bed not very comfortable, mirror light in bathroom not working, rooms could do with some attention.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Quiet and secluded place for a short stay, close to Gower attractions, far from maddening crowds
Good 7.0
Pros: Staff and breakfast were EXCELLENT
Cons: Shower head needed fixing broken at the wall
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a brilliant weekend at the Gower Golf Club. The whole experience was enjoyable - easy check in, comfortable room and exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. The golf was great and set in a beautiful rural location. The Chef was a delight and produced truly outstanding food. We'll be sure to go back for another visit later in the year.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very quiet, comfortable, good staff
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5.0
Pros: Staff friendly golf was good
Cons: Room hadn't been cleaned dust and nut shell behind bedside cabinet and cobwebs over tv and all over the room
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The food was fantastic both Breakfast and Dinner.

Poor 1.0
Pros: On the sea front near to restaurants, beach etc.
Cons: The place seemed run down and there was no lift. Needs lick of paint. No breakfast although there was an adequate dining area. The bar was only open once for a short time in the evening and the barman said he had no change to give us and couldn’t be bothered to get any! When the fire alarm went off at 5.30am, there was no roll call to check residents had all got out and no explanation by staff 20 minutes later when alarm stopped! ( fire service never turned up which makes me wonder if alarm goes through to fire station or if staff called 999!) Given that COVID has shut so many businesses the management do not seem to understand that they need to be competitive with other hotels in area. Experienced hoteliers could make this place into a gold mine with imagination and money!
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The sea view.
Cons: The bed was wobbly, every time one of us moved, the bed shook. Threre was no air conditioniing and we stayed during the heat wave. Having the windows open meant we had to listen to traffic and particularly boy racers revving up along the road, which incidentally went nowhere which meant they came back again. The guy who was looking after the hotel's computer admitted that boy racers are a problem. In view of covid, no breakfast.
Good 6.0
Pros: The location was great with easy access to the beach and other amenities.
Cons: No free on-site parking due to the location. The facilities were fine but very basic. Curtains and blinds didn't block out the light very well in the morning.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location was excellent; staff were friendly; room was spotless
Cons: Room was smaller than we had expected and very hot (but the weather was exceptionally hot). A fan would have helped.
Good 6.0
Pros: Good location, comfy bed, clean room.
Cons: Bathroom in need of refurbishment, although clean, was dated and showing lots of wear and tear, grout, sealant, tiles and a cheap electric shower all need attention. Felt the price was on the high side for room only (no breakfast available)
Okay 5.0
Pros: Great location in the Mumbles. close to all the restaurants, beach, etc... The room was of a good size and clean. The staff was nice. The price we paid at the end of our stay was completely different from what had been quoted on Booking.com, but since it was more than half the price it was a good surprise - and a fairer price considering the room.
Cons: The hotel looks much older than in the pictures, with very basic comfort (we only got 3 towels for two people, the floor mat for the shower was a disposable sheet of paper, no hooks for towels in the bathroom or in the room,...). The floor in our room was crooked - if we put a bottle on the night stand it would roll to the floor instantly. It was okay for a couple of nights but definitely not a place for a romantic weekend. We booked a room with breakfast included and were told on arrival that the hotel does not offer breakfast. The cost of breakfast was deducted from the final bill though so that was alright.

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Not much good to say sadly. It was nice and quiet, and right across from the beach. Tv and sink in the room was good to have.
Cons: The room was horrible. Took five flights of stairs to get up (bathroom was back down halfway, and was not nice). Broken window, wifi didn’t work up there, bed was wirey and uncomfortable, ceiling in the hall was leaking, door looked like it had been kicked in. And the breakfast was in a hotel down the road and wasn’t very nice. Quiet far to walk into town. This is NOT a “three star hotel”. Really disappointing.
Good 6.3
Pros: Location
Cons: Pictures on website said there would be a veiw but we had one small window looking into a back ally
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: I don't know where to start! Smell of smoke on arrival all through hotel, room very dated nothing like pictures on site. .then on return from evening out person smoking cannabis outside then was up and down stairs and talking outside bedroom window most of night with a local by sounds. If that wasn't bad enough had to put up with him back and forth toilet vomiting on several occasions. No staff to report too plus booked breakfast to be told it's down the road at another hotel! ....Where a lovely young lady walked in minus her bottom half.. you couldn't make this stuff up.. shocking!!!
Okay 5.4
Pros: Location
Cons: Disgusting. Thick with dust, bits in bed, skanky mattress, under mattress the bed metal is covered in old dirt... Shower has black mould. Sink in room cracked and dirty. Etc etc.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The TV worked well internet worked and the shower was nice and hot
Cons: The whole place needed a good scrub and updating the only clean thing was the bed and that wasn't great
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Very cold and also dirty.
Okay 4.0
Cons: Uncomfortable bed. Broken shower.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Good location for our needs. Tv and tea and coffee provided. Toiletries in ensuite. Wi-Fi fairly good signal
Cons: No staff on premises to check in after 5pm. Instructions via email to obtain keys and room number. Room not aired, smelled stale. Double mattress very lumpy! Ensuite could do with deep clean. Window looked out onto backs of buildings and a fire escape stairs. Only 2 hangers in wardrobe and one towel. No staff available to request more.
