Pros (+) The breakfast (@ $30.00 AUD) was one of the worst we have had. We began our trip at the Stamford in Brisbane, which was one of the best, and was a primary reason for choosing them in Sydney. A disappointment.
Pros (+) Room was clean and well-kept.
Cons (-) The front gas staff, especially at check out, we’re short and condescending. I ate twice at the restaurant; service was poor. I had to go get someone to wait on me each time waiting approximately 20 to 30 minutes for responses. Massage service was awful. They ended up not showing up and would have been hours late. I would not advertise that service in my hotel if I were you. I had to cancel.
Cons (-) Room was clean but décor very dated and not upper market as you would expect for the amount of money paid ($370 for the night) and the Stamford name. The 3 nights prior to my stay at the Stamford I had stayed at the International Hotel in Wagga and it was more modern and elegant than the Stamford and was about 1/3 of the price. Pros (+) the hotel was great. No problems at all.
Cons (-) the only issue is that the rooms were fairly small, but the hotel is in a big city, very close to the airport.

Cons (-) I didn't like that there was no complimentary wifi. I can understanding having caps to minimize streaming but it would be nice to have some basic browsing ability.

Cons (-) I know it's a USA type of complaint but there was no ice and my room service request for it didn't arrive for more than an hour until I then called back and bought a can of soda pop, which arrived thirty minutes later.
Pros (+) The location to Sydney Kingsford-Smith airport was very good. The lobby was well kept up and the bell service was quick to unload our bags and bring them to our room. The bathroom in our standard room was well designed, including stone/granite counter tops and new(er) showers and toilets. Room includes a mini-bar.
Cons (-) The room was a bit dated (e.g. the lights and fixtures) and the carpet was a bit worn. The mini-bar is a bit expensive, but that's my own fault for using it! The only remaining gripe is that the airport shuttle is not free, it was $6 per person.
