Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice lobby and cute courtyards
The first morning I was unable to turn on water for the shower. I informed the front desk and was told that it sticks and Iwould have to pull harder, and that someone would look at it. When getting ready to use the shower the next morning I was able to pull to turn it on but it took more effort than it should.
Great except for one thing....
it is a very quiet place and i loved the interior courtyards. easy parking, great pillows, nice people.
the key card de-activates if it comes anywhere near your cell phone or computer. i was told this would happen when i checked in. i was very careful and the card didn't work after i had it in my left hand and my phone in the other. and it isn't that fun to have to go all the way to the front desk to get it re-done. nor to have to think about it while your hands are full. such an easy fix for them! i hope they do it...i have never had that happen in all the hotels i have stayed at.
Service and it was clean
The hotel is older and I didn't care for the smell when we first walked in the room.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, very convenient
My room was very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was, as well. The front desk attendant I spoke to most (I believe her name was Lisa) was very friendly and eager to help. I was in Tucson for a sad occasion, not a fun vacation, and it was great that the hotel was so conveniently located--no extra stress about anything.
The room had an unusual odor. Not a bad odor, not a dirty odor, but also not pleasant. It may have been a strong cleaning product that had no fragrance added. It only took a few minutes to get used to, but it was very noticeable every time I returned to the room--others noticed it, too, when they were only at the door. This is a VERY minor thing! Also minor, but a little more bothersome, for some reason my room was not cleaned one of the days I stayed. Really I only needed to have the dirty towels removed--I hadn't run out of clean towels, even--but I was surprised. The other days I stayed, the room was cleaned well. I'm sure it was a simple oversight.
