The desk staff was friendly and spoke good English, which was helpful for someone (me) with a limited command of Spanish. The room was very nice in my opinion, although US travelers that might expect an alarm clock in the room (as I did) may want to be warned to bring one along as this was not provided. The breakfast was good. Finally, I thought the hotel was actually in an ideal area as it is midway between the beach and the historic parts of the city, close to the city of arts and sciences, and has plenty of businesses that a traveler might need nearby (restaurants, laundry, mall, etc).

Pros: I liked the location near to the green belt that runs through the centre of Valencia next to those fantastic futuristic buildings-the ability to hire Bicycles and ride safely in the green area and also on segregated cycle pathways. Access to the main Beach and port and easy access to the old historic town centre. The hotel itself is medium to large in feel with plenty of facilities and efficiently cleaned. Tasteful modern decor -some might say leaning towards business but arty as well. Staff are always available and always helpful with excellent language skills (English for me)

I highly recommend renting a bike form the hotel to take advantage of a vast bike path which is part of nearby L'oceanogràfic and the City of Arts and Sciences.

After a five minute drive, you will find yourself at the Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa sandy beaches. Each room at NH Ciudad de Valencia is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a mini-bar, and a desk, in case you need to get some work done. There is a total of 149 rooms including triple rooms and two Junior Suites that have a separate living area and an outdoor terrace. All are designed in a contemporary style with red accents and a laid-back color scheme. Breakfast is an exciting affair, with many delicious options to choose from. They include cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, and much more besides. From Monday-Thursday dinner is available in the restaurant, and although the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner on the weekends, we recommend that you try the world-famous Valencian paella at one of the local restaurants. We also have 2 meeting rooms for up to 70 people and a compact gym.

Pros: Fantastic location for viewing City of arts and science. but not good for family trip.. the restaurant opens at 8:30 PM. when my children used to go to bed. We had difficulty in having dinner. and I felt the hotel was overrated. not 4 star.

Pros: The hotel is very close to The City of Arts and Science. There is also a huge shopping centre with a supermarket just beside. The bus stop is quite close and it takes just 10 minutes to get to the City Centre. Also close to the Formula1 Circuit. There is a free parking beside the hotel. The breakfast was included and was ok.

The shopping centre and buss stop is across the street and the scientific centre about 100m away.The rooms were extremely clean and the hotel had amazingly friendly staff. I am quite peticular about re-staying at hotels, and this is a definate must stay if you are in Valencia.
