We really enjoyed our stay. The building was built in the 1300's. We just loved the history of it. The staff went above and beyond. The breakfast was good. The location was great. About a 5 minute walk from the water bus stop and about 15 minutes from St. Marks square. After being in the crowds all day it was nice coming back to our quiet little corner of Venice, sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the sunset and the boats go by.
I would have given it a higher rating except our room was on the bottom floor. It was very damp and the AC did not work well at all We did let them know the unit was not working properly and I am hoping they will replace it for future guests.
Great boutique hotel in Venice on the Grand Canal
Historic building, good breakfast selection - super breakfast room - get there early to snag one of the two tables on the canal front balcony. Front desk and breakfast room staff are friendly and responsive. Was upgraded for one night - nice to ahve a larger room but required a move the second night.
I booked a single room - advise to get a double as although fully functional, the single rooms are tiny. My room did have a view over the side canal though and large windows in the sleeping and bath rooms!
Very nice , helpul and friendly staff. The location is very convenient and the service excellent. The rooms were clean and beautiful.
Steps. Some steps were loacated in the middle of the room.
Very clean , great breakfast
Location was excellent. Day staff were very cordial and helpful, even upgraded my daughter and me to a suite.
The night staff (front desk) was also doubling as a bartender in the bar. He was most unpleasant and made it clear that the five of us in the bar were a big inconvenience for him even though there was no activity on the front desk.
wonderful breakfast on the balcony overlooking the Grande Canale and drinks in the evening as the bar is always open and cosy. A lovely room and very clean.
Great location on Grand Canal. Suitably quiet neighborhood, even though close to almost everything you want to see in Venice. Friendly staff (offered the upgrade to bigger twin room for our teenagers at no cost).
Should learn to be more friendly and not so rude. Unfriendly atmosphere.
The location was away from the crowds yet convenient to the Vaporetta and other sites.
The staff was not very knowledgeable about the area.
Quiet location, but easy access to main sights. Breakfast overlooking Grand Canal.
The location is perfect - sitting on the porch right on the Grande Canale with a drink after a long day's walking around in Venice is a treat. The room was large with enough space for a family of four.
It is difficult to find when you first look for it.
Staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, very much a family atmosphere. Wonderful complimentry breakfast buffet, loads of food to choose from. Hotel accessible via water taxi and prime site right on grande canal. We will plan to stay at same hotel again next year, hopefully for two weeks, to spend more time on the grande canal and to tour more of italy, a beautiful and friendly place. The hotel also offered free water taxi to the Murano Glass factory and to San Marco Square.
No elevators to upper floors. Must be able to go up and down several steep stairs. We had plenty of help getting our luggage up and down so we had no problems.
All the staff were more than helpful
yes it needs system for keeping the breakfasts warm
We found this hotel very quaint and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and the setting was lovely. I have already recommended this hotel to some friends. The only thing was we found it quite hard to find, but then I would guess a lot of hotels in this area would be the same. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
