The location was convenient with direct beach access. It was near First Landing State Park to do some hiking. The rooms are all suites, so they are pretty big.
This is a newly remodeled hotel and it shows. The biggest downside is the staff and management. Housekeeping was great and they were cleaning everything. Towels weren't refreshed and those that have access to the pantry were often waiting for pantry to be refilled. In our 4 day stay, the pantry coffee machine didn't work at least twice, and they ran out of food frequently during prime breakfast hours. What wasn't so good is the front desk staff, who were inadequately staffed. I'm Titanium and didn't get my welcome amenity credit. The restaurant/bar was a mess. There was no one manning the desk to seat people, and when she finally arrived, she was also bussing tables. Waitstaff seemed all over the place so service was extremely slow and disorganized. Billing was also an issue. Parking is pretty tight as well. Overall, the average room for the summer in 2021 is around $400. I don't think this is worth that price given the service.
Time warp to the 80's / dirty rooms and furniture
The proximity to an event we attended.
No updates to this "resort" in at least 20-30 years. Ex: Tv was still the old bulky kind from the 90s, colors teal and pink Miami vice, furniture was old and had all manner of stains as did the dirty carpet, bathroom had a heat lamp (as lizards would use) and the walls were paper thin. Even my kids complained about the room and they have low standards or expectations due to their ages. Lastly, my son woke up covered in bug bites No we will not return. Too bad too because the location is great and the potential for this property is huge if it were given a complete update and renovation.
Not close to strip
Very dated room. Carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. No guide for television. No ability to checkout from room. Tight parking spaces.
Floors was a lil dirty and outdated
To far from the Boardwalk
Hotel was clean. Nice pool and beach.
Parking was horrendous. Spaces were so small we had a hard time parking our mini van.
The rooms were nice, not the most up to date but spacious. The indoor-outdoor pool with beach access was great. The bartender at the tiki bar was very friendly. The happy winds rental staff was excellent and so accommodating. Plenty of options for water sports of all ages. Beautiful beachfront property.
It took nearly an hour to check-in to this hotel thanks to what appears to be the most antiquated reservation technology I've seen in a decade. Check-in isn't until 4pm and our room still wasn't ready at that time after the hour check in process. Multiple other parties at the front desk were complaining about unclean rooms, no call backs from the manager as promiseIt took nearly an hour to check-in to this hotel thanks to what appears to be the most antiquated reservation technology I've seen in a decade. This hotel was filthy. The toilet did not flush. There were rags left laying in the hall. We left after only an hour and they refused to refund our money. Do not stay at this hotel.
Relaxing enviroment spacious rooms and friendly staff
A little pricey and rooms and facilities need some updating. Carpets and appliances look worn
Don't be fooled, so so bad and rediculously expensive for the accomodations
Lack of room service
Great views, dirty hotel
The pool area was large and opened to a deck the lead right to the beach. Rooms were spacious, staff were friendly. Room also had a nice balcony that over looked the beach. Hotel has a ton of potential. Resturant across the street "hot tuna" was amazing.
The room, hotel, pool area were all gross, unclean, and showing no signs of updates since 1982. Toilet in room was overflowing on arrivial, and room showed obvious signs of water damage from the leaking toilet. Would of changed hotels if time allowed.
