checking out of the hotel was the best part as the hotel staff were rude and the room wasnt cleaned properly and very uncomfortable
the hotel staff were rude, the room cleanliness was poor.
ease of booking
there was damp on the walls of our room
good bar and reception area
room on ground floor in a far end of hotel like a maze overlooking the car park they are hotels in the area with lake veiw for half the price also very tight on the full english breakfast wouldnt stay again for that price unless it was a superior room
Excellent location. Nice modern bar and restaurant area.
The standard double room we had was quite dated and needed a bit of a facelift!
The staff were always very polite and friendly
The Windermere Hotels’ Windermere Hotel is a short walk away from the town center. The hotel is over 150 years old, and has en suite bathrooms, as well as a restaurant.
The rooms have views of either Lake Windermere or the town itself. Each room has a TV, as well as facilities to prepare tea and coffee. The hotel also provides guests with hairdryers and free Wi-Fi.
In the common area, there is the Piano Lounge Bar that is equipped with a patio that gives guests a view of the Windermere’s gardens. The hotel has a space known as the Boardroom where guests can watch TV, play board games, or a hand or two of cards.
The restaurant at the hotel features English cuisine, and guests also have access to numerous restaurants and cafes in the area and within walking distance. The Windermere sits on top of a hill, and provides views of the small village below. It also gives travelers views of the lush greenery and mountains along the horizon.
The Windermere has 80 bedrooms and each has a different view. It has access to the local railway station that provides a quick ride to Manchester and its various attractions. The hotel also features a car park. Some of the parking is complementary, but the preferred spaces can be reserved for an extra fee.
The rooms offer a simple design with neutral colors and design features that accentuate the size. The restaurant creates a sense of space as well with windows that extend about eight feet above the heads of those dining and enjoying the view.
