The Alpenlodge is a boutique lodge hotel situated above the village of Zermatt, offering views of the Matterhorn from many areas of the building and 10 of the guest rooms. The lodge offers a total of 12 bespoke alpine-inspired rooms with custom furniture that was handcrafted by the hotel owner. The lodge also features an outdoor terrace area overlooking the Matterhorn, as well as ski-in/ski-out access.
Guests of the lodge can walk to the Matterhorn Museum or St. Mauritius Church to get a glimpse of local history and culture. Also nearby are the Zermatt-Furi Gondola and the Riffelberg Express Gondola. Two train stations are available within a 20-minute walk and the Alpenlodge offers complimentary drop-off and pick-up for hotel guests. Sion Airport is just over an hour away from this lodge, which does not have parking available.
Pets stay free at this non-smoking property. Complimentary WiFi and wired Internet is provided in all public areas of the hotel while guest rooms include free wireless Internet access. The lodge provides a complimentary breakfast buffet for guests. There is an on-site bar and lounge at the property, as well. The front desk offers limited hour service, and can assist with tours and tickets, dry cleaning and laundry service, and luggage storage.
