Pros: The staff have been most attentive to all our needs and they could not do more for us. The building itself looks ready for refurbishment but perfectly adequate for what we paid. We enjoyed the fantastic sea and mountain views from our windows. We booked this holiday in March for occupation in December so we do not understand how they came to accommodate us on the first floor of the four floor building, the noisiest part. We drew attention to the fact and they let us have rooms on the second floor which was just a little better. The food was adequate and plentiful. Water was supplied for breakfast but not for supper. We had to bring our own bottled water. In the spa areas, wonderful service was provided by Sesemm and her colleagues.
Cons: The sound of music playing in the patios every night between 2200 and 0100 was a bit upsetting. We were told by people in the upper floors that they could not hear anything. Sounds like the place to aim for next time. Itemised receipts were never given which made it somewhat difficult to query entries.

Pros: Very opulent and luxurious hotel. The Spa is amazing and the Morrocan restaurant was superb.
Cons: Some of the staff were a bit "difficult/attitudey" (even in French) bringing the wrong bottle of wine and arguing back when they were clearly in the wrong. One of the waiters at the pool lied to us saying the bar was closed when it clearly wasn't. Luckliy his colleague was more helpful. Many of the sun loungers by the pool looked stained and unclean, which is unacceptable at these prices. The buffet by the pool was awful and very bad value (London prices for food that had been on a hot plate for over three hours). Not sure how Sofitel figured they could get away with this in a five star resort.

Pros: The view, and the staff
Cons: First they give me bad old apartment with the worst view ever, so I had to pay extra to change the room, than I had to pay extra for taxes, which I was unhappy for. Even though the staff were nice, still not happy

Pros: I loved the location of Al Moggar as it has a direct entrance onto the promenade and beach. They need to invest in elevators because if you're room is on the fourth or fifth floor, that climb up feels like you're training for a fight like Rocky.
Cons: The swimming pool is too shallow, basically made for kids. They gym and spa are not included in your fare and you have to pay seperate let and daily for gym use which is very irritating. Also, the place really really needs to invest in elevators. Lastly, the most annoying thing is if you have more than one guest room and you're the only guest, you cannot bring another guest with you. Instead, they will make you buy another room..

Pros: The staff were nice enough. Location was great, very close to the beach.
Cons: The hotel needs updating. It’s very old and slightly motel-ish. Lighting was dim and bedding in rooms were so old and outdated.

Cons: They charged a tax on arrival, the room was dirty in desperate need of paint. The facet in the bathroom was filthy and coming off only cold water worked, the toilet dripped continually and no hot water in the shower every morning.
