Unique
Couldn't check in till 5pm. Just spent 30 hrs traveling very unpleasant
Beautiful building. Very helpful staff. Lovely mezzanine in bedroom.
The stairs up to the bedroom had no hand rail.Lots of renovations going on in building.
Good Hotel
Room was very clean and spacious.
The heaters are a bit old and noisy.
Love this modern new clean hoteL!!!
I love the fact that the staffs are super friendly. Very nice hotel and nice high ceilings. We got a free upgrade too. I love it so much I def want to come back! I love everything about it. Nothing to complain about. the bathroom is so nice and beds too.
Only downside is that they are currently doing constructions and wish we would have been informed. It gets very loud during the day but aside from that it's all good!
The staff was great. The room was comfortable. The restaurant was excellent; good food, nice atmosphere.
Lovely boutique hotel
The Arena is a great hotel, we spent most of our time in our room, though the lobby and grounds are impressive. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very nice, the sitting area perfect. We had floor to ceiling windows which overlooked a courtyard and that really made the room. A few nice amenities included an electric tea kettle to make coffee and tea with, a safe, a fridge and blowdryer. When we needed a converter, the front desk had one for us. The front desk also called cabs for us which came quicklly. Nice quiet neighborhood with easy access.
I didn't realize the room was two floors with the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, not ideal for middle of the night trips to the restroom. There was no handrail on the steep and winding staircase. While housekeeping came everyday, they did not sweep the wood floors which I would have expected. One wall of the bathroom is the wall of the sitting area and is all black glass, which at first seems opaque, but really isn't. When it was just me and my husband in the room, no problem, but when we had visitors, it was a bit awkward.
The rooms were very hip and the beds were so comfortable. Really liked the slick bathrooms and the overall hotel decor
The design of the building and room interiors was new and refreshing to see. The staff made us feel at home straight away and if we had any questions they were more than happy to help.
The only negative was that the room when we first entered was incredibly hot, and nobody told us there was an air-con unit in the room so we couldnt get comfy for a long time (until we found how to use the air-con a couple of hours later!)
Not match bathroom privacy
Only slept here a couple of hours, didn't had much time to enjoy the facilities, but the bar and the club looked and sounded really cool. Next time I am s\ure to enjoy those facilities to the maximum. Cool to have a stair in the room to the upper bedroom.
The shower wasn't closed of from the rest of the bathroom. So I had a centimeter of water under my toilet after showering. The Airconditionig was positioned directly towards the bed, makes a noise and you have a constant cold breeze which is nice for a while, but anoying if you want to go to sleep.
it was easy to reach the city
it was very cold in the room and what was promised never came...
Pleasure trip
Reception staff were abrupt and unnecessarily rude!
Style and design of the common spaces
It was impossible to get a hair-dryer in 3 days. The standard of the room was low for the category of the hotel (even if in Amsterdam this is quite common).
Position of the hotel.
Very poor quality of my room. A dirty, smelling and small room.
Atmosphere
Quality of the room
Staff at the front desk very nice
the room was run down it had a hole on the wall behind the doorknob. The towels were rags. the side tables were discolored and burnt. the maids chatted constantly and loudly on the closet and on the hallway while we were trying to sleep
