Worth of staying- coming back again
The location, the breakfast, culture corner in the bar, and yhe basketball hook, little balcony of room number 108. My husband thinks the bed and pillows were excellent. It is very original and very clean, our child enjoyed every bit of the hotel, from monopoly to music and basketball hook and the elevator. ELEGANT quite neighborhood - to enjoy after the downtown and museum trips.
The hotel bike rental sounded way too expensive - 16 euros a day, that could ve been a bit cheaper compared to the hotel price, it could have been inclusive. Otherwise, no major comments at all.
Location is good and away from noise and crowds. Basic and small rooms. Very helpful staff. Very good price.
Heating was not enough for the room. There was a weird smell when we first entered the room.
Very clean and tidy. Location very close to museums and out of the dodgy part of Amsterdam. Convenient transport. Helpful staff. Generous breakfast.
Very small rooms, bathroom extremely small. 3 of us managed to bump our heads on the television shelf which was close to the bed. Some noisy residents. Scary lift and very steep stairs with dodgy old handrails (I got a splinter). Not much choice at breakfast.
Cleanliness, location, friendly staff. Hotel pub nice feature
Austerity of rooms. Comfortable but basic. This is not a complaint. I appreciated the value for dollar spent.
The hotel was really nice, breakfast OK. Good location.
We did not like the beds. Quite short + not too comfortable.
Rooms are too smal to breath.
The staff were very helpful and the Hotel is in a great location for the sorts of things we wanted t do and see.
The double bed room was alot smaller than we thought it would be.
Friendly staff, clean room, plenty of space (but we were staying with 2 people in a family room for 4)
We had to pay to use the locker.
Well located across the road fom Rijksmuseum.
The room was small and a little shabby, but clean.
Friendly staff, excellent location
The mattresses were too firm for me - the bed was not comfortable
Small room, noisy at night, disturbed sleep expensive
Max Brown Museum Square is situated in four typical Amsterdam Townhouses in the Jan Luykenstraat. This largely residential neighborhood distinguishes itself with beautiful tree-lined streets and gorgeous 19th-century architecture. There is no place in Amsterdam where you will find an area with so much style and allure. Not only is The Museum Quarter (the neighborhood around Museum Square) famous for its impressive collection of museums & galleries, but it’s also a bursting forth with shops, cafes, bars & restaurants everywhere.
