Pros: Very Clean and renovated so everything was new.
Cons: Even though we booked on Kayak and paid for the room, we were expected to attend a timeshare presentation. When we didn't show up due to our agenda, they would not stop calling the room every hour for the next 2 days. We took the phone off the hook to enjoy some peace a quiet. There are only 3 elevators for over 30 floors. Expect to spend some time either waiting for the elevators (thank you for seating by the elevators) or inside the elevators (housekeeping will be using the same elevators as well). Next time I would prefer to stay at one of the major casinos in the future.

I WALK WITH A CANE AND I NEEDED TO SIT DOWN THERE WAS A TABLE HIDDEN AWAY WITH ONLY ONE PERSON PLAYING THE MAN WHO WATCHES THINGS SAID GET UP IF YOU WANT TO WATCH "I CANT SIT DOWN" I ASKED THE DEALER BEFORE I SAT DOWN BUT, I JUST LEFT. Cons: Everything was way too expensive... $500/night for an average room, $10 for 320mbs of data (wifi), $150 deposit on the room on top of the $500... The drinks had no alcohol in them, there were no free movies in the room and you were not allowed to use or take the shampoo and body wash in the room. They had a sign that literally said, if you take them we will charge you. For all the money I paid for the room I should get a free breakfast or something, strong drinks, free wifi etc. I had a nice time at the concert I went to but I will never stay overnight again.

Cons: The building is very old and needs updating. The furnishings in our room were cheap quality, chipped and scratched. The noise level on our floor was very loud and disruptive. The check in staff was great, very friendly but overall i wasn’t impressed. Everywhere we went there were multiple staff members lounging in hallways and guest common areas carrying on private conversations very loudly in front of guest. Also - parking here is a nightmare.

Cons: Getting from rooms to parking garages is a disaster. We were a family of 4 with a baby. That's a lot of stuff to lug around. We stayed in the West Tower. It feels like you have to walk a mile between the room and parking garage. We left at checkout time (11AM) and the elevators were all backed up. We waited 20 minutes for an elevator and decided to take the stairs (we were on the 48th floor!!!!). After finding our way to the casino floor, we tried to go to the parking garage elevators. Those were all backed up as well. So we had to find stairs to climb to get to P-4. In all, it took us about an hour to walk from our room to our car. That's insane!!

We asked the maid for air freshener and she opened a bottle of cleaning fluid and literally dumped it all over the floor of the room, smiled and walked away. The drain in the bathtub was also an issue. Having to pay for extra key cards when you made a reservation for four people was the icing though. The conceirge insisted the reservation was for two people and when I showed the confirmation email she said call Kayak and let them deal with it. I would visit the hotel again for the shopping and dining but not to stay.

Pros: The casino was great even though it was under some renovations. We had a blast losing money, which is a hard thing to say. Carmine's was an amazing dinner and a great value to beat.
Cons: The rooms that we had weren't anything to write home about. I've stayed in a lot of nice casinos and this one was not one of the top 20. Harrah's down the block was way better. My bathroom looked like someone locked a dog in it with no food and a picture of a cat or a small child with a chainsaw. The manager was unaccomidating and the front desk was basically useless. Pretty expensive for what you're getting.

Pros: We booked 2 rms. for a wknd. party of 8. Had a great stay! The staff were pleasant and helpful everywhere we went. Live music at Margaritaville on Fri. night was awesome with good food and great drinks.The pool and pool bar Sat. afternoon was fun and friendly. There's so much to do in the area- we went parasailing, spent time on the beach and Boardwalk, and went to the beach bars and a couple of nearby casino clubs (we didn't sleep much!) Resorts was a great base for our weekend with plenty of space in the rooms for all of us and plenty of on site options for food, drinks and music.

Pros: I liked that we can go outside right to the beach and rides . I liked the security guard checking everyone's room keys before you can get to the elevator. The staff is very polite. The bathroom is very spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable too.

Cons: Their was red stuff ( blood ) on one of the bathroom walls & shower curtain. We called down to house keeping, and no one came up. We left a note on the bathroom sink and they still did not clean it off. When we went for dinner I stopped at the front desk and asked them if they could have someone take care of it. When we got back they had finally cleaned it. They took off the shower curtain off and did not put a different one up. I called housekeeping and they did not bring up a clean curtain. We still did not have one up when we left. The bathrooms were out dated. No counter for my wife it do her makeup.

Cons: Was screwed out of the King size room in the ocean tower that I chose specifically to be near friends in that tower in a king bed. Was given a queen bed in the Rendevous tower, far from our friends. Our bed was only a queen. For $53 PLUS the $20 in taxes PLUS the $10 resort fee- I feel ripped off. Don't let people book rooms if the hotel doesn't have them available!

Would definitely recommend. Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect getaway for a few days for adults. I would not advise bringing children. Besides the beach and the pier, there isn't much for children to do.

There was a mouse in our room (not that a mouse would hurt anything, we just didn't want it to get into our suitcases and food) and the front desk was more than willing to switch our rooms. Not that I was worried about it, but I figured there may have been a little compensation, but we can't control nature.

Pros: The hotel was conveniently located to the Atlantic City beachfront and it did allow us to bring our dog on vacation. That was the main selling point for our choosing this hotel. However, if one of the other hotels offered pet facilities we would have chosen them.
Cons: The thin walls in the facility lent itself to being a noisy stay when the other guests partied late. The management was unresponsive to noise complaints, despite their posted policy about "quiet hours." Security was not what it could have been either. Vagrants could be found loitering around the front of the hotel without visible security to keep them at bay. The room itself had comfortable, if small beds, yet lacks a in-room refrigerator or microwave. The selection of channels on television was disappointing and was a clearly intended to get us to purchase a premium package.

Pros: My wife and I went there January 1st to January 3rd to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff was professional, polite, and friendly. The room was beautiful, with nice pillows and sheets. We were walking distance from restaurants and shopping, and had a wonderful time while staying at this hotel. I hope others go there too. It's a great place.

Pros: Location! Convenient to shops, parking, roads & highways/expressways, & (most especially for my purposes) right across the street from the NJ Transit train station. (I ride the ACS Bike-a-thon every year that I can. Now that the Bike-a-thon is back to ending in AC, I drive down with family ahead of the event, stay & park at the Sheraton, take the train back to Phil. the night before, then bike back to AC with the ACS. Meanwhile the family has a full-feature shore weekend - without disruption from my participation in the Bike-a-thon. A win-win!)
Cons: Usually nothing: You get what you pay for & usually that's roomier, quieter, cleaner & more comfortable than a lot of hotels & motels in AC. Since the Sheraton does not have direct beach access or a casino, the price is usually less expensive - even for a June weekend. This year however, competition from an ANIME" convention (who knew), appears to have driven the cost up a bit. Still, cost/value ratio wasn't too bad, & the ANIME" attendees were entertaining - sort of like a colorful carnival in the lobby.

Pros: The shuttle was amazing, they were so friendly and helpful. The view from the 9th was decent we had a structure blocking our view so we couldn't enjoy it much. The room was large had a stove and kitchen necessities. Overall our stay was decent but we would only stay again if the boardwalk was finished.
Cons: Far from the casinos. Boardwalk wasn't finished. They didn't clean the room, just left towels in garbage bag out the door. Had to walk down a sketchy neighbor to get to a beach. No access to beach from hotel. Dirty room, dirty shower, no lighting. Elevators were horrible we waited forever.

Pros: The room was amazing. My friends and I were staying for the weekend for a show and it was perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfy, room was spacious, and we loved having a balcony overseeing the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My friends and I all agreed if the opportunity were to arise, we'd definitely stay here again!!

Cons: The room needed a refresh. The grout on tile in bathroom was bad. I lifted the toilet seat and immediately was greeted with a pubic hair. The little bit of comforter belt (fashion only, bot an actual comforter), and decorative pillows were dirty and stained. I suspect they are not often washed. The bedside lamps were sagging, their mounts were poor.

Cons: Golden Nugget still advertises having a heated outdoor swimming pool & hot tubs that are open year-round when in fact it has been closed down for the season. I ran into many groups of people that also booked rooms at the Golden Nugget expecting to use the advertised facilities only to be told after arrival that the pool deck has been shutdown. Shame on Golden Nugget for false advertising and misleading paying customers! Avoid this shady "resort" casino and stay elsewhere.

Staff was very friendly and professional The decor of the hotel itself is old-school and charming, while the standard rooms feel like a modern hotel. Really reasonable rates. The pool area is very nice with lots of seating and mock-cabanas. When we went it was overrun with kids, but I know there are adults only hours in the evening (which we did not take advantage of - should have!)
Cons: Only minor complaints here - towels in the room are small, and when we requested extra (we were initially provided two towels for a 4 person room) we were told that all the towels in the hotel were in use! But it was only a couple hours before they brought us more. No big deal. The elevators can be terribly slow on occasion. Most of the time its fine, but there were one or two instances where we waited a solid 5-10 mins for one to come. The drain in the tub is slow, so if you take a shower you will be standing in 2 inches of water by the time you're done.

Pros: There's a classic Atlantic City feel to the hotel that cannot be outdone by most other properties in the city. Rooms are more spacious than others and everyone was helpful! Even their self-park employees were so helpful to give us helpful information on the hotel and its neighbouring properties (especially since the food choices helped our starving selves upon arrival.)

The hotel also wouldn't let me change rooms because I booked online through a discount site. So basically, if you want an updated room you have to book directly through the hotel and not through expedia/hotels.com

That gentleman deserves a raise for the excellent service he provides, and I sweat it seems like he is constantly working from late at night till early in the morning. As an A.C. local he was very knowledgeable about eateries late at night, events in the city, and made every effort to accommodate our stay.
Cons: Our first room was in unrenovated area and smelled of lingering cigarette smoke - it was gross and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There was some kind of waterbug running around the floor. As soon as we went down to reception the gentleman there immediately addressed our needs and gave us a great room on a different floor that had been completely renovated.
With direct access to the beach, this Atlantic City resort is in the city centre and within a 10-minute walk of Bally's Atlantic City Casino, Atlantic City Outlets (The Walk) and Boardwalk Hall. Atlantic City Historical Museum and Absecon Lighthouse are also within 2 mi (3 km). Atlantic City Rail Terminal is 14 minutes by foot.

Cons: First I booked on booking.com. When trying to check in the hotel said booking cancelled my reservation, called booking to find out why. They told me casino cancelled due to not having card in hand. Of course they didn't because I was booking online. After an hour of standing in line and on phone with booking and dealing with counter person I got sent to a supervisor. The supervisor got me a room. I asked for NON-SMOKING since my elderly mother was with me and she has breathing problems. We got our key and headed to our room. We were asked to be patient because they were having trouble with the elevators, our room on 42 floor. When we finally reached our floor and got off the elevator I knew it was going down hill. There were food trays in all the hallways and the smell of smoke was super strong. We got into out room and the smell of smoke still present. In fact ashtrays were on the table. I was very frustrated at this point. As for the room, it was roomy but old, one outlet to plug stuff in and carpet felt wet the entire time. The next morning when we went to check out the food trays still in hallway. So I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. OLD, DIRTY and lots of hidden cost.

Pros: My daughter, on leave from active duty Navy, and I came into AC for Comic con. We went to the wonderful party in the Wild West bar after Comic con. I always felt safe in the hotel and casinos, enjoyed the entertainment, and the gambling facilities. We had dinner in the Chop House and brunch at Bucca. All of the restaurant services were really great with friendly staff and excellent service.
Cons: Upon checking into our room, I noticed some serious cleanliness issues. Knowing the hotel was booked and not wanting to deal with changing rooms, I decided to just do a cleanup as best I could. The phone, nightstand and lamp were disgusting. There was such a film on the pictures over the bed and the dust so thick, it looked like mold. The beds looked great but were made so when you went to pull the covers back, all of the bedding came off. The bottom sheet was not tucked at the top at all and the sheets and mattress pad were for a king sized bed. We had 2 doubles. After complaining to the front desk manager on duty Dave, he credited our room $50 and assured us the beds and room would be properly taken care of the next day. Although we did have regular maid service, nothing was different when we returned from comic con. I never mind the discolored brass fixtures in the bathrooms at Bally's or general wear and tear. I have stayed many times with my sister who is a regular. I do feel there is no excuse for rooms not being clean. The edgings of all rugs haven't been vacuumed in some time. I had a horrible allergic reaction and awoke the first morning ill. Within a half hour out of the room, I was better only to become ill again and terribly congested within 20 minutes of our return to the room. Pros: The Pool was very fun. The restaurants were good but overpriced, however I sort of expected that in the casino. I especially enjoyed the service at Sammy D's and Leah at The Pool on Saturday was exceptional. The casino itself is nice and the service there is outstanding.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I may have ever slept on and will prevent me from returning to Harrah's AC. Additionally, the door of the shower was leaking so badly that every time we took a shower a huge puddle was on the floor. Considering that we are in decent shape, when we did slip, which we did, we did not get hurt. The hotel should definitely be concerned about fixing things like this as they are a huge liability to them. The TV has 5 channels that are horrible and when you want to relax on the uncomfortable bed for an hour there is nothing to watch. I wish they had an outdoor pool area because with the weather nice it would have been fun to be outside.

We called maintenance twice and the first time they told us there was nothing they could do and the second they sprayed some air freshener and left. The smell was so unbearable that we had to avoid being in the room as much as possible. Upon checkout, they told us that they couldn't do anything since the room was already paid for ahead of time and because it was an upgrade. I would've rather not have been upgraded if I wouldn't have had to deal with this terrible odor and am unhappy that I spent $400 on a room that I couldn't even enjoy.

Pros: The room price for this hotel was about half of what casinos were charging for the same night. The room was clean with a marble bath and granite counters on all of the furniture. We had a nice ocean view. Overall it was a good value. Resorts casino is nearby as is the Landshark oceanfront bar. Two additional casinos are planning to reopen on either side. The Hard Rock, at the old Taj and the Ten at the former Revel.

Pros: The facility had great access to the beach, a beach bar, and a relaxing roof top pool with bar. Rooms we're a good size.
Cons: Staff members were not very welcoming. They weren't mean or rude, but didn't seem like they enjoyed their jobs or the guests. Older hotel so not many elevators, but what made it worse was when the service personnel put the elevators on hotels on hold during the busy mid morning. The hotel needs renovated badly. The hallways had stains on the carpet and the walls looked dirty. The rooms had damage to ALL the furniture which is weird because they make you put down $125 security deposit if damage is done. Sooooo if people are beng charged $125 when they cause damage then FIX the damage! Not staying there again. I'll pay a little extra to stay at the Tropicana.

Pros: I didn't have any complains at all. Great place and service for the price I paid. Right on the boardwalk. I paid for the city view but when we got there they ran out of them so they gave us the ocean view free if charge. It was awesome.

Pros: My husband and I loved the fact that the entire hotel is non-smoking. We were right next door to the Tropicana which was very convenient. it was nice leaving after our stay and not having to walk to a smoke-filled casino to do so.

Pros: The lobby and rooms were just tired. Bed was comfortable with nice bedding but the decor needs updating. Everything was clean. No coffee maker in the room or free coffe in lobby was disappointing. Seems that is standard in most hotels now. We had almost no hot water both days.

Pros: Affordable, friendly staff, flexible late check out, reasonably priced, clean room, and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, which would've been nice if we had another day to enjoy the weather.
Cons: Hallways were outdated and dirty - inconsistent with rooms. Affordable but you aren't staying in an hotel with a casino, restaurants etc so the experience isn't the same. It'd be nice if hotel provide a complimentary shuttle out to the hotel nearby or popular hotels (Tropicana or Harrahs) in the early evening considering nightlife isn't available at The Chelsea as it is for many other hotels.

Pros: The only thing positive about the room was the bed. The bed was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The room was gross. There were knuckle punch mark in the wall as soon as I walked in. the paint job was sloppy. The furniture out dated and marked up. bathroom counter top falling apart. Hair in the tub. Floor molding missing. lighting in the room was dark. No full length mirror. Only mirror was in the tiny bathroom. Chips of wood missing at bottom of bathroom door. Cheap hollow bathroom door. No fan in bathroom. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors clearly. Drinking water cups were plastic and not new. They had been used.

Pros: What I enjoyed the most was the pool on the 5th floor on the other side of the hotel (The Chelsea). The sitting area was very nice and the staff were quite pleasant. I also like that our room had a balcony. The location of the hotel was pretty great...steps away from the beach/boardwalk.
Cons: Our sheets and pillows werent clean, there were stains on them. Doors were off their hinges in the hall way. The elevators smelled along with the hallways. It really just seemed like a motel.

Cons: It was horrible! We got to our room and the smell was so disgusting I had to go outside right away, I thought I was going to be sick. Then we noticed the wall was black, it looked like mold. The ceiling had water damage, was dipping down & cracked. The furniture was broken & there was a receipt from 2 weeks ago! Oh they also told me that I would pay a $15 valet fee for the length of my stay, but it's actually $15 a day or $5 every time you leave the hotel.

Cons: The annex section of this hotel could use a facelift because going from the gorgeous lobby to the annex was a little shocking. The bathroom tiles could have been cleaner in our room and there was a light fixture in the wall that was not covered.

Cons: Besides the fact that the elevator smells and feels like it'll break down, I did not like the Motel theme with the neon signs making it very eery walking down the dimmed hallways. The balcony did not have a screen door to prevent bugs from coming in and Continental breakfast is not included. The towels are from everywhere else except "The Chelsea" and had a molding smell to them. Broken doors throughout hallways and the ice machine is in a Boiler room with a door that slams behind you. Very creepy.

Pros: The bed was super comfortable and we both slept quite well. It is located close to Trop and right o. The shuttle route to all other AC destinations without the coat of the casino.
Cons: Our room had no real windows. Although we were on 2nd floor the only natural light came from an ceiling height window opening about 9-12" high. Couldn't see out of it. Felt underground. Walls, doors, light switches are dirty and need painting/cleaning desperately. Asked to change room willing to pay more and were avail. But they required we come all the way back across town to make Tue switch even though our credit card on file so we stuck it out. Will go back to the Luxe tower next trip. Much nicer.

Cons: My request to have additional pillows and blanket wasn't fulfilled as I put request in at time of booking. No one answered house keeping when called. Additional fees not only for parking per day but use of pool and jacuzzi were additional per person per day. Initial request for high floor wasn't honored and had to request again. Dirty towels and walls. Drunk naked girl tried to push her way into our room after banging on our door like crazy at 3am. What if we had children in there they would have seen all her naked body. Where was security? She was banging on several people's door! It took them forever.. not happy. Not worth the price. not returning.

Pros: I liked the price and the location, but that was not enough to make up for the flaws.
Cons: The fact that there was no manual lock so you had to rely on the automatic lock which would be fine if your card was the only one that worked on your room. Unfortunately that is not the case at the Chelsea. We had guests enter our room at 4am because their card worked on our door. It is beyond me how this happened, but it really shook us up and did not allow us to sleep well that night. Spend a little more and stay at a hotel which will give you your OWN room.

Pros: I was holding my breath as I had read so many reviews of it being dilapidated and smelly. I moved from the Days Inn next door which was exactly that. My room at the Annex ended up being perfect, just like the pics online. It was super clean and comfortable. Great that they shared the 2 pools with the Chelsea. I loved it.

Cons: The annexes are like the ugly duckling of the family. Shunned away in a corner. The staircase to the annexes kind of gives off a horror movie hostel vibe. The whole exterior really. Thank goodness the room redeemed the entirety of the hotel. Clean, neat, a bit outdated, but for the price paid I can't complain.
