Just 60 metres from the shores of Lake Como, located in the middle of a beautiful cobblestone ( 63 steps ) stairs, the Centrale Bellagio is an intimate hotel with a sun terrace and peaceful garden. It offers free Wi-Fi and traditionally furnished rooms with parquet floors. Rooms at Hotel Centrale Bellagio come with air conditioning and a private bathroom, while some rooms are in the attic or offer a balcony or patio. A daily buffet breakfast is provided. The town has several restaurants serving Lombard cuisine and pizza. The jetty, where ferries depart for Varenna and Griante, is 400 metres from the hotel. Lecco is a 30-minute drive away.

Pros:We stayed at Hotel Centrale at the recommendation of a friend and couldn't be happier with our choice. The hotel is in the heart of Bellagio and is owned/run by a multi-generational family of whom Michael was the main "front man". First location.... The hotel is truly in the middle of the small village with many restaurants/shops within a stone's throw and the main street is only a short walk away (1-2 minutes). The only down point is to get to the hotel, one must walk up about a block length of stone stairs from the main street. Not really for anyone with ambulation problems. But then again, the entire town of Bellagio is a bunch of up/downhill streets and stairs - probably not the best place to visit for someone who is unable to walk. Second, the staff. Again we couldn't be happier with our experience. Michael was personable, friendly, and very helpful. He actually called the hotel we were going to next (in Cinque Terre - a big storm had gone through that area) to make sure everything was alright before we headed down there. Third, the breakfast (included) was one of the highlights of our stay. Delicious, warm, and filling. It was wonderful to start our day with a leisurely meal before heading out. Fourth, the accommodations... The hotel had a beautiful, well kept garden and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They placed a tea tray in our rooms in the afternoon with tea/coffee/baked goods - so lovely to come home to this. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and efficient. They also included free WIFI which was convenient. All in all, we highly recommend the Hotel Centrale!!!
