Bed was rubbish. Uncomfortable and very creaky!
It was cheap, which was just as well.
The bathroom was mouldy, damp and the curtain rail had rust on it, the room felt chilly and the quilt just about covered the bed, altogether it was a very run down tired hotel
The location in relation to our activities
The rooms were in poor condition. There was a musty damp smell in 2 of the rooms we tried. The 3rd was better, but the Jaccuzzi or air bath was full of stagnant water. When switched on it filled the entire room with a foul stench like sewerage. The smell did not abate. No curtains on the bathroom window which overlooked the car park. Perfectly designed for a peeping tom . This is not a hotel, but rather a hohell!
The rooms were clean and spacious, food in the restaurant was good and generally good value for the money.
Although the staff were pleasant, there was confusion over the checking in and no one was about when we needed to check out.
The locaton is close to the motorway with its own car park and good restaurant facilities.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room warm. Facilities acceptable
Vehicle access difficult. Details given for this not correct.
Lack of pillows
It was convenient to the motor way.
nice relaxing environment
Staff are very friendly and helpful
Nothing in particular though, when I had a problem, a member of staff was very helpful, and brought me a complimentary tray of tea.
The room was dismal: small and depressing with dark paint and a view of kitchen rooftops. Minimal facilities but I was impressed by provision of a clock radio. The carpets in upstairs hallways are disturbingly awful! I didn't find the bar until the next morning. Very basic, for the price and remote position. It would make a good motel-style stop-over for motorway users but at a lower price.
