The room was comfortable, clean and warm. The location was very convenient for our needs. Very friendly welcome. Very quiet considering it is on the ring road and we had a front room.
Instant coffee at breakfast: I've come to expect real coffee brewing as a matter of course in hotels and guest houses. Narrowness of entrance. I'm not outsize, but negotiating the doorway with builders' boots left on the step and a heavy suitcase in my hand was quite tricky.
Nice and cosy rooms, friendly staff. I walked to the cinema in about 20 minutes and it's only a short bus ride (citi 3 from bus stop b) from the train station.
The breakfast takes quite a while to cook, which I didn't realise, so ended up a little late. Allow at least 15-20 minutes to be on the safe side. The cleaner left the window open after cleaning, so the room was feezing by the time I got back, make sure you ask them not to do that, especially in winter!
Clean, friendly and accommodating staff, good breakfast
I liked that the owners live on the premises - this is unfortunately not always the case in Cambridge, as we have discovered. The owners were highly organised, informative and the breakfast was good.
The shower room was the smallest we've ever seen. A fat or pregnant person would not be able to get into the shower because the door only opened partially as it was blocked by the washbasin. We were right at the top of the house - quite a hike with luggage.
Friendly staff. Convenient location. Off-road parking.
Room very small. No guest lounge or bar. General feeling of being a bit cramped and confined to a rather small room. I wouldn't have felt happy had I had to pay the full rate for the room, or had I not been in Cambridge for a specific purpose which meant I only required the hotel to sleep and have breakfast in. No bedside light meant that reading before going to sleep was not possible. This was not a "backpacker" experience but it was a budget one.
Room was big and clean.
Outside the room was too noisy, not very good breakfast, and the water pressure was too low.
It was a very friendly place, our room was comfortable and breakfast was really nice.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was very good. Location is a close walk to city bus line.
Bathroom was a bit small, but that was expected for a B&B. Local bus service ends before 11 pm, so plan on a fairly expensive taxi ride from downtown if you don't have a car.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, easy access to the city centre
The shower was clean but didn't work well
The owners were very friendly.
The location of the room and ensuite we had. The W.C was tiny, under the staircase and thus uncomfortable to use.
