Great place for a long weekend!
THe resort views from our room were awesome. The beach was great and close and the pools over looking the beach was great.
The only thing I didn’t like was just slow check in. I guess it’s just typical for Mexico I have noticed.

Honestly there's nothing I didn't like
I've never been so humiliated in my life and in front of my kids. It was always something with these people. I've been coming here before but lately the workers are rude and when you ask them something hey make it look like your bothering them. Check out is now at 10 which our luggage got kicked out the room, while we were having breakfast. Our luggage a was left outside our room. The people at the front desk were always in a bad mood. The only day we truly enjoyed was the 1st day when everyone was really nice. And the maid that clean our bedroom kept harrising us for tip. We left her 20$ usd and she had the odacity to look at me like I was cheap.

The Royal Islander is an all-suites property in the Hotel Zone area of beautiful Cancun, Mexico. It sits directly along the sands of the Caribbean Sea and overlooks Nichupte Lagoon. It is steps from the Mayan Museum and El Rey Mayan ruins, and close to such popular destinations as Luxury Avenue, La Isla Mall, Andres Quintana Roo Stadium, the Cancun Government Palace, and the Parque Las Palapas. The San Miguelito Beach is steps away, as is Playa Delfines, and the Cancun International Airport is less than seven miles from the grounds while the Cozumel International Airport is around 40 miles from the hotel.
A resort-like destination, the hotel offers a tremendous list of amenities and services that include airport transfers, a private beach area with services, gardens and terraces, tennis courts, free bike rentals, water sports, a games room, a swimming pool area, spa services, a fitness center, a concierge desk, currency exchange, and baggage hold. There are also laundry services, a gift shop, salon and two trendy restaurants offering three meals daily.
