Size and comfort of the room. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel is in central Crawley and thus convenient for shopping.

Its town centre location, and ample car parking. Plenty of hot water. Room very well heated (it was a very frosty night). No shortage of food at the buffet breakfast, and the staff there were friendly and helpful.
The grouting of the bathroom tiling very grubby. Re-grouting would improve its looks considerably. Plumbing in bathroom in need of attention. The bath water didn't drain at all (bath still filled with cold water following morning). Otherwise OK.

The George Hotel was conveniently located for nearby shopping which was the purpose of our trip
The Staff did not seem to have much local knowledge and weren't that helpful with directions. They were also not very interested when we complained about the noise from another room. The staff in general have a lack of enthusiasm!

It's location for Gatwick Airport, shops, restaurants and pubs in Crawley town centre.
Cleaner didn't replace empty shower gel dispenser.
