The cheapest hotel in Durham for a reason. The room was as clean as it could be, but because it clearly hadn't been updated in decades there were things like mold in the bathtub and major scuffs on the walls that can't be dealt with with routine maid service. Pros (+) The location and price-point were right up my alley. I was traveling with my 10-year-old and my 4-month-old. The front desk staff was very kind and accommodating as I needed to change to a different room (with 2 beds) at the last minute. Beds were fairly comfortable.
Cons (-) While washing out baby bottles in the hotel sink I noticed the water was warmer than normal (I work as a barista and have a high tolerance for hot liquid on the hands) I let the water continue to run and steam was literally billowing up out of the sink!
