Pros: The breakfast was excellent, wide choices, enough to satisfy most. Bed was very comfortable. All was super clean. Wifi worked just fine and was free. Lobby staff were friendly. They allowed me to check in 3 hours early, which was nice.
Cons: The noise insulation between rooms wasn't great, including the door going out to the hall. They are doing some construction to the entire exterior of the hotel, so you may have noise (but it was only during the day), and you may have people walking around the outside looking into our room. It's also a loss of safety to have all that scaffolding up. Also, loss of views out the windows from rooms that face outside. Some people may not be bothered by any of this.

Pros: Very stylish and modern hotel. Staff was very warm & helpful. Extremely convenient location across the street from the main railway station in Florence and a short 10-15 minute walk to all the major sightseeing destinations. Solid breakfast was also included. Highly recommend! Will be returning there the next time I visit Florence.

Pros: Great location! Walking distance to all major attractions. Room was very spacious - with living area + bedroom. Rooftop terrace had an awesome view of the city. Large selection for breakfast.

Pros: We loved our stay at the Cavour. The location made it so easy to get to all the sights and we enjoyed having a drink watching the sun go down from the rooftop. The junior suite was ample room for the kids and us and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be staying here again.

Pros: The Grand Hotel Cavour was in a great location to walk to the Duomo, Uffizi, Piazza Republica and many other attractions. The staff was the friendliest and most helpful I have ever seen. The breakfast is included and had something for any appitite including cappucino and expresso! Loved it there!
Cons: The showers are a bit tight, the lighting was very low in the bathroom and the toilet paper was given out very sparingly. We bought our own.

Pros: Great staff- they were always incredibly friendly and helpful
Cons: The room was a bit strange of a layout and could use some modernizing. The only true negative was that we believe my husband got food poisoning from the yogurt served at the breakfast. It was in a dispenser rather than individual containers so that was suspect to begin with.

Cons: The bed was terrible, there was a bar digging into my hip/ lower back all night. One toilet and one shower for a room of 16 is not enough. There was some sort of construction or something happening on the floor above me from 5am to 9pm. No kitchen, which is dumb. It's a massive facility, so there are huge tour and school groups there all the time.

Pros: It was centrally located and the rooms were spacious with all standard amenities except the electrical outlets.
Cons: There was only (1).....seriously (1), outlet in the entire room. A mixed dorm room with 4 bunk beds and only (1) outlet doesn't make for friendly environments and happy customers. The price for the room was comparable but the foot, laundry, and drinks were completely over priced.

Pros: Clean Helpful stuff Elevator works
Cons: It was advertised to have a car parking. In fact hotel does not have parking at all. Each day I was asking and the stuff was telling not today. Please park outside if you can find a spot and take care before 8am or pay. The stuff confirmed that parking has always a problem. The breakfast was kind of poor. Internet was not always working. Some days it was and others it was not.

Cons: Everything. The air conditioning wad broke so we had to open the door which had no screen and got bit up by mosquitos. The bathroom shower was so small that you cant even close the shower door and fit inside. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The whole hotel was completeley outdated. I would never stay here again and would recommend it to no one.

Pros: The staff were nice, spoke English and were helpful. Cheap.
Cons: The elevator didn't work, shower head didn't stay in the holder, toilet roll holder wasn't on right, bed was uncomfortable, full of mosquitos. Nothing terrible, but certainly a case of you get what you pay for. Not necessarily convenient for the airport - 20 Euro taxi for the 4 minute ride and no shuttle. You can get the bus in the middle of the day but then you might as well stay in Florence.
