Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful modern room kept spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable large bed.
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved staying at the Miller Courtyard. What a lovely welcome we received. Room was perfect with a lovely comfy bed which is a must. It is in an ideal location, very close to town centre and also to the seafront. Would highly recommend.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: They do not do food
Cons: This time there was no wi fi as they were having problemsa
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Property is within a 10 minute walk from the town and beach. Its central to all amenities in a quiet secluded courtyard. Parking is available at the property which is an added bonus. The owners are very nice. Lots of places to eat and drink, we went to different places each day, some have outdoor gardens if the weather is nice. The beach is clean with plenty facilities around for all to enjoy. Free parking is available down next to the beach. Ayr is a great seaside town for a day trip or longer stays, we will return again soon.
Cons: We went to wetherspoons for a drink no food as we think it's poor quality. The service is terrible the staff have not been trained well, they ars relying on the app to much, but not everyone uses it. Had to ask for a drink every time and wait another 15 mins to get it, the only good thing is the prices are very reasonable.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything else was excellent
Cons: Bath trowels to small need t b bigger 👍
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The bed was good size and it was comfortable
Cons: No breakfast otherwise everything was alright
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice location, room was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished and decorated, quick easy check in, secure parking, friendly host, would recommend.
Cons: Bed and pillows very hard, but that's just personal preference I guess, quite noisy in the afternoon with work going on and visitors revving engines whilst trying to catch up on sleep after a 4am start.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: n/a
Cons: Bigger towels
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very modern, quiet, close to shops, pubs, shopping, beach and trains, very nice rooms, fantastic service, friendly staff, beautiful place!!! Will most certainly recommend to anyone to stay there!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very local and clean
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Owners could not do enough for us I will highly recommend this place to anyone coming to ayr for work or pleasure And situated in a great location for shops and restaurants 5min walk to town
Excellent 10.0
Pros: General friendliness and efficiency of the landlady Jackie. Excellent breakfast catered to your wishes/requirements each morning. Suitable, and not oppresive, adherance to the current social distancing and personal hygiene requirements. Easy parking and easy access into the town and local amenities.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Cozy place to stay would come again!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jackie did everything in her power to make our stay very enjoyable, safe (including Covid secure) and was most helpful. She coped very well with my allergies including gluten free and oat free diet and was a very valuable source of information for the area. She showed us on a map where we could walk our dog, which was a quiet walk around the block as the busier road is quiet in the evening and also it was only a 5 min drive to the dog-friendly beach. We never made it to the river, but it sounded lovely. The room was very spacious, well heated and with the windows closed we slept very well as we did not hear the road at all - and this despite us living in a quiet cul-de-sac. The house is very secure. Our dog loved it there and he can be fussy. The bathroom was very spacious, with a lovely walk in shower. The beds were very comfy. We hope to be back soon.
Cons: The guesthouse is beside a busy road, which almost put us off, but we did not hear the road at all as the double-glazing is excellent. Also, the road gets very quiet at night and even in the morning is not too busy compared to South England standards.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: breakfast was fantastic, loads of choice, safe place to stay re covid
Cons: it met all my requirements
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The host jackie was very friendly and accommodating very relaxing stay
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I had to visit Ayr at short notice and needed to balance my visit and still be connected at work. Jackie was friendly and an exceptional host, being flexible and allowing me to work remotely. The B&B convenient for town with parking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good location, value for money. Very helpful landlady.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff worked hard to please, with covid restrictions.
Cons: Our rp was in a separate building. Would try for one in the main hotel next time
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Close to the racecourse, and local amenities. Short walk to the beach
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food was outstanding. Room was amazing. Lovely location. Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great for the racecourse, the room was big, great shower ,superking bed , lots of facilities in the room , hairdryer, fan, iron, ironing board, tea making , smart tv ! So many lovely little touches 🥰 breakfast was amazing ! & The restaurant in the evening was elegant & food was excellent . 10/10 western house. Thank you.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like 😀
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location if you plan to explore up or down the coastline or if you want to play the numerous golf courses nearby. The hotel itself is spotless set in immaculate grounds which are a credit to the gardeners, staff are friendly efficient and attentive and always on the go. We ate in the restaurant on the first night of our stay and found the food very good at a reasonable price, breakfast was excellent with a large and varied menu. We have stayed in lots of hotels up and down the country in this staycation year and I would rate the Western House Hotel well above average.
Cons: Nothing really, well done.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Cleanliness and the size of our room were very pleasing. Quality and choices of breakfast food were excellent The fan provided in our room was essential and very welcome during the heatwave as there is no air conditioning
Cons: I was disappointed to discover that photos of the bedrooms were depicting the executive rooms rather than the majority of rooms which are in the courtyard. However, our room was large and fine for 2 nights
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Tidy and easy walk to town
Cons: Breakfast needs to be faster
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Relaxed, quality interior well maintained, beautiful immaculate gardens. Top quality attention by the staff.
Cons: There was only one thing which is not a complaint and was discussed by other residents. The bar in the hotel is mostly young people who are trying their best to serve people. I feel it is unfair on them when someone asks for a drink, they take the order then have to make up the whole order on their own then deliver it to the customer. This in turn is taking a long time from you ordered a drink and it is served resulting in a lot of people waiting a long time. To be fair on staff and residents there should be a dedicated barman to make up the orders and the staff to attend the customers. This is constructive criticism and not a complaint. Hopefully it is resolved soon for the staff.
Good 7.0
Pros: Room size was ok and Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The bathrooms are old style with shower in bath and no fridge in room which is a major issue in warm weather, There is also no air con in the rooms so in extreme weather its a problem. The main meal was terrible, as the steak was poor quality, not cooked as asked and the sauce was terrible, The chips were cooked in old cooking oil and were not good. They took the price off for the main meal, but lost my appetite and it left a bad outcome on the night. I would expect a 4 star to have quality food and quality chiefs.

Pros: It was all good. Breakfast was good and the room clean and tidy. If the weather had been bad there was a residents' lounge with books and a bar for the guests.
Cons: There weren't any negatives. Would have taken bar meals had they been available.

Pros: We stayed in The Tiree room. There was a small sitting area, t.v , couch, desk tea @ coffee making facilities. The bedroom was lovely very well decorated and the bed was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was small but it had everything you needed. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. Breakfast was a choice of fruit juices.cereals, yoghurts, fruits, tea & coffee , cooked breakfast and toast and spreads. All cooked the way you want them.

Good 7.0
Pros: The kind, helpful staff, when we were the only guests
Cons: Problem with the adjustable height bar on the shower
Good 6.0
Pros: Would be convenient for Prestwick airport and in easy reach of Ayr and Prestwick. Nice building containing no doubt better rooms. Clean. Not far from seaside, though at rather industrial location.
Cons: Small rather dark room with window facing neighbouring wall. Wet rot on walls around window. Mould behind dresser.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very welcome in the bars and restaurants. Coped magnificently with the Covid restrictions. Well done.
Cons: Great location, 10 minute walk to the town centre. Friendly staff, comfy bed, great breakfast. Everything you need for a weekend break. Thanks.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: No fuss
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very good cooked breakfast, spacious room with Netflix and fast Wi-Fi.
Cons: Decor was a little sparse.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Quick, easy access to Prestwick airport, onsite pub, and very gracious staff who accommodated all my needs.
Cons: Fair amount of hallway noise with visitors to the pub going by rooms and not the most comfy bed.

Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Location Able to park on site
Cons: The host's greeting was appalling. I waited at the reception and rang the bell twice. To then here the host say hello. When I said I had a room book I had to go to her down a corridor. Then I had to tell her which room I had booked. Which I tried to find on my e-mails but she then decided to look at her bookings. I got the key to my room and had to ask where the room was. I only checked in about 7pm. I don't think this is exceptionally late to book in. In the room the plastic cup was dirty. The curtains had a stain on them. The tv didn't work to begin with, I had to change it from analogue to digital but struggled as the remote control was required to do this, but the remote control's batteries were loose and I had to sort that first. The light switch was broken, this is not safe. The bedding was clean but dated. Although it states breakfast in the rooms from a certain time, I was told when I checked in they are not doing breakfast at the moment. I paid the room fee and informed the other lady who only works weekends, I wasn't happy paying the full amount due to my experience and wish I had booked into the Premier Inn round the corner from them. I didn't get offered a discount.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Really enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was lovely and the location was ideal. The owner could not have been more helpful.
Good 7.0
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, perfect in terms of support/softness. Breakfast was very good.
Good 7.0
Pros: Hotel was nice and quiet and friendly and so was other guests would book again
Cons: Not alot of pubs nxt to it
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Had a great nights sleep
Poor 1.0
Pros: Leaving it . I sincerely hope you do something about this genuine complaint and concern . All of your guest houses should be safe and hygienic regardless of price . I didn't know the condition of the room or property before going yet you want guests to cancel bookings before they are due to arrive or they are charged a cancellation fee .
Cons: I booked for 7 nights. I stayed 1 night, and left before going to bed the next night due to health and safety reasons in connection to the condition of the electrics in my room . I contacted booking.com but nothing will be done as I am unwilling to return to the property and take photos . This house should have an independent electrical inspection , and fire safety , and kitchen food hygiene inspection , also the planning department of Ayrshire council should check she had permission to have a very large building built in her garden as it's very close to the house . I saw her once when I arrived and I had to try and find her . She was in her dressing gown and looked as if she was just out of bed , it was 11 am . She said she was ill . Why didn't she cancel all bookings as a precaution due to covid 19 regulations . I had to pay a large amount of money to get accommodation elsewhere . This "Guest House" should be closed down permanently . I am very suspicious about the 5 star reviews on your site with regards to this property .
Good 7.0
Pros: Easy access, good location and friendly service.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Location price breakfast friendly staff
Cons: Nothing.
