Rooms were not very clean, we had room opposite to the street. Noisy. Owners were very sleepy. For that price we should have better room like in the east of Heraklion - the hotel prince of Lilles.
Good location - easy access to sea, to the town, shopping, restaurants, Knossos and airport. Good size pool. Friendly staff.
The hotel could benefit from some updating. The accommodation was adequate for the 2 nights we stayed, but would not be for a longer stay. The buffet breakfast was very good - plenty of variety and quantity. We didn't have an evening meal in the hotel, but the snack by the pool one evening was very poor. The hotel was difficult to find, some clear signs directing visitors are essential. We spent an hour in the town looking and asking.
Our stay was short. We did not use any services except the room. The air conditioner was in good working order.
The room was stark. The matresses were mounted on immovable concrete stands. The bed lamps were old and repulsive. There was no shower curtain - the entire bathroom go wet. The room reeked of cigarette smoke.
An inexpensive hotel reachable by direct local bus from the airport. We got what we paid for.
Nothing I cannot express one positive comment with regard to this hotel except that it is located in Greece
Everything cement ceiling and walls and even the mattress was on cement pad room was about 8 feet by 16 feet , it was like a prison cell I hated it could not wait for the morning so I could leave, cigarette buts in ashtray , musty smell and stinky very unpleasant stay was not worth even 30 euro in my opinion
It's ok for one night. Rooms dingy with ugly exposed walls and bathroom with no shower curtain. Breakfast was very frugal. Reception was not the friendliest either.
Hotel is very close to the beach and to great restaurants (especially beachside ones). You can get straight to the hotel by bus no 6 from the airport - a huge advantage. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel, and the bus goes straight to the city center. Staff is very nice.
Hotel does not take credit cards, despite what it says on this website. The pool is quite small. There is no restaurant in the hotel. The whole place was furbished in the 70-ties and never renovated. The walls and ceilings are not even painted. The rooms smell really weird when the AC is off. There are annoying cost-saving measures in place (AC switches off when you leave the room or open the window). It is impossible to close the door so the maid will not walk in on you. And they do so - every morning (and there aren't any "do not disturb" signs).
