I feel safe and it's quiet

Requested housekeeping 3 times and front desk just simply replied ooopps sorry we forgot
Clean hotel. Felt like it was in a safe area. Staff was very friendly for the most part.
While checking in, I asked to use the restroom and the hotel clerk said there would be a restroom in my room I could use. We had a non smoking room but the pillows and blankets had a heavy cigarette smoke smell.

COVID limitations that deleted the usual benefits of staying at a hotel like this.
Very kind and friendly woman was at the front desk when checking out. I wasn't feeling well and she allowed us to check out a little late and was very nice.
2nd floor had very strong chemical smell that gave us headaches. Bathroom smelled of mildew and had mildew or mold in shower and on shower curtain. Room felt very humid.
