It is very convenient for transport as it is just to the north of Kyoto JR Station and the bus terminal. The reception staff spoke English well and were helpful whenever we had questions.
The rooms were almost too warm, which made it difficult to get to sleep. The breakfast was far too expensive for what was included.

The hotel was extremely convenient to the Kyoto train station, so you don't have to drag your luggage very far, and you can catch a bus to anywhere in Kyoto from right outside the front door. Location is this hotel's best feature.
It's not a terribly affordable hotel, but location makes up for it, especially if you're only in town a short time.
