Front desk staff never answered phone. No air- room was 94 degrees. Staff unable/ unwilling to help or cancel future reservations. Still waiting for response after a week
At the time of our visit to London, it was 90 plus degrees. Air conditioning did not work in room. The staff gave us a fan!! Called Expedia to try to get some help with refund. Expedia has tried but cannot make contact with them
Great neighborhood and staff
Very friendly staff at this cozy little hotel. Right off Hyde Park and easy access to the tube make this location ideal. Safe and comfortable.
The tiny, slow lift that fits one person with a bag, or two without is a challenge. Rooms are small and a bit creaky, but the bed was very comfy.
No working toilet or internet
The location of the hotel is excellent. It is easy to reach by public transit, and is right by Hyde Park, which is lovely. The staff were friendly when we first checked in.
Our toilet in our room didn't work. We asked about it each of the 3 days, and they did nothing. We ended up having to use the public restaurant toilets, which were below the first level (we were on the 3rd floor). Our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Then, on the last day, the internet stopped working. We called the front desk and they said they were working on it. Still didn't work the next day, so we couldn't check in for flights/call Uber. For all of these issues, the staff did not seem to be apologetic or offer any solitons. In the end, we were very disappointed by our stay.
Wonderful location is the #1 asset of this hotel.
Room style bit old fashioned.
A lovely place to stay
Restful, quiet, good restaurant and excellent location. A bit of a trip back in time.
Limited access for those with disabilities. The staff was willing to do everything possible to compensate.
The hotel is situated just far enough away from the centre to be quiet but is very convenient for the underground. It is an "honest" hotel and does not try to be something it is not.
The room was in need of some repair work
The staff were pleasant and helpful
Room rather shabby. No tea/coffee making facilities. TV didn't work properly. Booked me a cab which ripped me off - not a black cab
The room was dirty, the sheets were washed with such a cheap detergent that I gained a rash on my back which is still subsiding 3 days later, no duvets and the tv didn't work.
Hotel close to Underground Station, so great links to all of London right on doorstep. Nice comfortable stay. We keep coming back, so it must tick all our boxes - cost, location, ambience. Recommended to others.
Additional cost for cooked breakfast seemed a little unnecessary.
Extremely convenient location close to Hyde Park and two Uunderground stations. Helpful staff.
The friendliness of the staff.
The room was great for the price and the garden lovely, food was good, ncie to have a choice of cooked breakfast.Having a car park was also very handy. And a great location. Couldnt realy ask for more.
The service, the staff they could not do enough to help us. highly recommend. we will be back my mum and I.
hotel was a bit run down and old fashioned and there was renovation work being carried out
For London this was a clean, decent, relaxed hotel. and one I would gladly recommend despite the "negatives".
Possibly the worlds smallest lift?, thread bare carpets, certainly some "rough bits" if you look for it. Shame that there was no "in room" drinks facilities.
