Room was kept very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We had a room on the top floor which included a tiny balcony. The hotel was very quiet and shielded from city and traffic noises. We enjoyed the free coffee and tea service many times, and the included breakfasts were simple, fresh and tasty.
The small double room is VERY small. It's hard for two people to juggle cases and towels. It's a great price point, though, so it's worth it for a few days in London.
Good value, and pretty quiet for a London hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
The bed was comfortable, but the wooden frame was a minor hazard to the knees when walking round the room!
The location for Olympia was excellent and in walking distance. There were plenty of restaurants in Earls Court Road. The room was very comfortable and warm and the breakfast provided was sufficient without having to pay for a cooked breakfast.
My partner and I were celebrating our 25 th anniversary and it would have been nice for the hotel to have made at least a reference to it. I felt a £9.00 charge for the cooked breakfast was expensive. Some of the light fittings didn;t work in the room and also the information provided by the hotel in the room was of poor quality and not well researched. For that standard I expect more information on travel, restaurants etc than was provided.
All the great things everyone has written about the hotel regarding location, breakfast, cleanliness and staff are true--it's very nice.
Unfortunately, the 2 issues we encountered are too much to consider going back. The biggest problem was the bed (Room 1). It was so hard that we could not sleep. The woman at the front desk said they had recently gotten new beds, so they were all the same. Upon examining the "mattress," I found it was pretty much a box spring with a hard top and metal springs you could feel from the side. We tried to put blankets over the mattress, but even that didn't work. Finally, we asked for a cot to up on top of the bed. I like a firm mattress, but this was ridiculous.. not "luxury," as promised. Second, Room 1 is very noisy as it is right next to the service entrance on the garden level, so people come in and out in the morning.
We appreciated the friendly helpfulness of all the staff who were always willing to address special requests. Excellent fresh continental breakfast. Free internet.
Sound from floor of room above intrusive at times. No other critical comments.
Clean, comfortable hotel is a good location.
Clean, neat, tidy and the staff were friendly
Room was small for the money spent and some tv channels reception was poor
The room was very clean.
Room was extremely small and did not like staying in a basement room.
I really can recommend this hotel. It's not cheap..but OK for London. The room was much better than we expected..modern, very clean and big enough. The breakfast was perfect. The hotel is close to the metro, so you can explore the city quiet easy from there.
The hotel is in a good location but it is also very quiet
got an upgrade to a mini suite which was nice
no cooked breakfast, but what there was was extremely good, selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, cereals etc.
Pleasant staff, great location. Room was clean and well furnished. Continental breakfast (included in the price) was great and brought to the room free of charge!
Room was a little bit small but still cosy.
