Cons: I could hear people in the hall, as I was in the bathroom. Also, there was a party across the street and it woke me up at 1:30. Better soundproofing in the walls and better windows would have prevented both issues. Regarding the party, I closed the night curtain and cranked the AC. It got cold, but the white noise overrode the party music. Also, the bed was completely warm and comfortable

Cons: There is an additional $20.00 that was added on my bill , after I returned home and checked my account. I paid this bill up front, when I reserved the room, I ordered nothing while I was there, why the extra $20,00? The heat unit in the room sounded like a freight train every time it came on during the night. So much for a restful nights sleep. Every 15-20 minutes listening to that thing running, really great!!!! Maybe the extra $20.00 was for the constant wake up noise?

Pros: Location and staff were excellent. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation so that cuts off some rooms, but the staff accommodates well. We did get some free drink credits for the bar, so that helped smooth out the rough edges. The hotel is right on the capitol square with a beautiful capitol dome right out the front door.
Cons: We didn't get any advance info that the hotel was renovating or that access to its driveway was limited, both with construction and roads being closed off for the marathon. It was a bit of a pain (had to park the car and walk to the hotel and then get instructions on how to get to the parking lot. The rooms are OK., but the room in the bathroom was a little tight.

Pros: Inn on the Park is a great location for Ironman Training- walk to the lake and the run start. Added bonus is that the Farmer's Market is right across the street on Saturdays and State Street is right there too. It was nice to stay in the middle of such a great town. The staff was very helpful with directions, suggestions, etc... Very reasonably priced and slept well!

Pros: Location and proximity to the event I was attending. The Wisconsin Ironman was held at the Menona Terrace and this was a short five minute walk to the event. Service and accommodations were top notch.
Cons: Underground Parking was sparse and tight given I drive a full size vehicle. Managed to find parking but if there are any drawbacks on this hotel, this is all I could find.

Cons: My room was right next to the breakfast area. Parents were allowing their children to run up and down the halls and scream. The staff did not do anything about it. A large group of people were up until about 2 AM in the morning loud banging things and the hotel staff did not do anything about it. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn. I did ask the staff if I could change rooms and they said no. I had to have the exact same room that was given to me by kayak. There were other rooms in the hotel they just refuse to give me another room. Poor service. The breakfast workers were very friendly and accommodating. I do not recommend staying at this Hampton or any Hampton.

Cons: Room was hot so we opened the windows to sleep comfortably. However, the noise from the street was very loud until well into the early hours of the morning. So we had to be hot or have loud noise. Kept the windows open all of second day to cool down room so we could keep windows closed at night. That was better.

Pros: Funny how the other negative review I read came true. We had a reservation for a lake view and when we checked in we had to walk to another building only to find a view not of the lake but of a parking area and garbage bins. It took them 30 minutes to gets a room with a view of the lake as printed on our reservation. Make sure it is all set when you check in.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable and linens were not luxury linens. Once we got the kind of room promised on our reservation, we discovered the main ventillation system was located on the lake side of the building (really?!) and even though we were five stories above it, we couldn't open our window without hearing it. Also, room air conditioning blew right towards the bed. I love sleeping in a colder room, but constant moving cold air isn't pleasant. This hotel needs some management and property attention. Too bad because Madison is a nice town and deserves better.

Pros: We went to Madison for a house concert and to visit a friend who is attending UW Madison. The hotel was within 6 miles of both places so the location was great for us. The free breakfast in the morning was a bonus (eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, oatmeal, fruits, juices etc). The place was clean, we forgot out suits so we didn't use the pool. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Will for sure stay here again.

Pros: They offer a free daily all-you-can-eat breakfast that lasts until 10:00 a.m. and includes a great variety of food choices, from waffles to scrambled eggs to omelettes to cereal to pastries to corned beef hash. Very impressive and a huge cost saver for long stays.
Cons: The pool area was small and "dingy," but I had little desire to swim so that was a minor factor. It could use some decor on the walls or something to make it look more appealing, especially since it's right by the elevators and most guests will see it.

Pros: I love the partnerships between the neighboring businesses, for instance on the weekend breakfast is complimentary from the pub down the street.
Cons: I would have liked more information about what rooms have what facilities. For instance, which rooms have just a shower and which have a bathtub. Which have a desk and not. Other than that, I absolutely loved it. It was charming, in a great location, and for a great price.
This family-friendly Madison hotel is located in the business district, within 2 mi (3 km) of Capital Brewery, Pleasant View Golf Course and National Mustard Museum. West Towne Mall and Death's Door Spirits Distillery are also within 3 miles (5 km).

Pros: The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and even though it was a very busy weekend at the hotel, our room was really pretty quiet, for all the activity going on.... the pool area was really clean and very relaxing.
Cons: We specifically requested adjoining rooms, and were told to arrive early to have a better chance at getting them, so I arrived a few minutes after 3:00, and was assured that we did indeed have them, and when we settled into our room, it was an adjoining one...when our friends arrived a few minutes later, at first they were told that their room would be joining ours, then they were told that it was not possible, and were given a room on a completely different floor...this was very very disappointing, as we had all changed plans specifically to arrive early to insure this, and had both been told it was possible....and we had all extended our stay because of it! and to top it all off, we never had anyone in the room next to ours with the adjoining door!!

Cons: The suite did not have separate rooms, which was why we spent more on it. Very high price for a pretty standard room. Plus there was no tub for our young children to take a bath.
