Super friendy and super helpful staff, and would stay there again if in Madrid.
It was a clean, competent (small) hotel with modern fixtures. It felt and smelt relatively new, and everything was clean including the bathroom. It was very close to the Valdeacederas metro station and within easy walking distance of Plaza de la Castilla. It was also possible to walk to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to view the UEFA Champions League Final. In addition, it was not in a very touristy part of Madrid, which meant that we could experience some local cervecerias alongside real madrilenos--a glimpse into the life of an everyday citizen, at very reasonable prices. Rooms were quiet and easy to sleep in. The staff were helpful and spoke functional English. The hotel was good value for money!
I wish that Internet access was free and I wish it was wireless. (It is wired, and 6 EUR per 24 hours). After four days (I was able to extend the stay), the bed began to feel a little too soft, but overall it was a good experience.
noise: on main through street; wall-to-wall with gym (classes start at 5:30am)
The shower was about the only thing I would say I enjoyed.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, Was a lot of noise from the main road all night even with window closed and shutter down. Room was very small for 2 people, it was lucky it was only 1 night and we did not have much luggage with us. Found staff to be rude and did not get a single smile, hello or thank you from any of the staff!!
Very very clean. Well situated. Good breakfast. Friendly Staff.
Everything was as described in your site.
location is great, close to center and easy to get out to airport.
beds are small, rooms are small but you get what you pay for.
