Proximity with everything: stores,restaurant,metro,buses,parks,museum...all by walk at 5 or 10 minutes.
No parking if you rent a car, room of 4 and sofa mattresses need to be changed. Little bit noisy with street and traffic in the morning.
Clean - Perfect location
No lounge - only spanish-speaking receptionist
Despite the excellent location in the middle of the entertainment area our rooms were quiet
Location is very good. The rooms are big, private bath rooms with good showers. The bed is hard but very comfortable.
The hotel is a bit old, no breakfast available (however many breakfast possibilities in the neighbourhood)
The location was fantastic and despite it being in the centre of a capital city, it wasn't noisy at all. The room was comfortable and clean and the shower was hot and powerful. Would definitely go back there.
The staff wasn't particularly friendly
The staff were so polite and friendly and the hotel very clean and close to the centre of Madrid
The room 329 overlooked the street and was noisy - however I live in a very quiet village and the noise would not put me off staying there again. All part of city life.
Very beautiful old hotel, central, quiet, clean and with lift (not mentioned in your ad).
No left luggage after 3 p.m. (also not mentioned in your ad) meaning we had to traipse a long way to a train station and queue up for 30 minutes to leave our things on the day of check-out. Also no English speaking staff, which would have posed problems if there was any complaint.
No lift, we were on the second floor which wasn't bad, however in the middle of the stay they had 2 of us move to the third floor due to one of their problems.
Rooms are old fashion
Room was large so that all three of us were very confortable and it was spotless. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars, museums and the Metro. The staff was very friendly unlike other places we have stayed at.
The location was excellent. The room with balcony was a bonus.
The noise on the street didn't bother me but it might be a good idea to make potential guests aware of the noise.
