The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had along chat with a gentleman who was possibly an owner. Ideal for a business trip or a short break. The hotel had character. 5 minutes taxi ride from conference center.
I would have liked a hot breakfast.

All staff extremely helpful...taxis, bus routes, etc.
Our room was badly in need of refreshing. Bedspread and carpet pretty bad.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast basket brought to our door was a nice and convinient way to have an early breakfast.

The location was amazing and the hotel itself was quaint. The rooms were clean and very nice. The breakfast is delivered to your room in a basket. The breakfast is just muffins and yougurts etc but it is a nice touch.
I ended up paying 170 dollars for one night for myself and my boyfriend. We are students and find that way too expensive for this hotel. I don't think I would ever stay there again because of the price, but it was the best location. When we went the second night to a different hotel, we kept taking the subway back to the first hotel just for the neighborhood. Our second hotel though was a 3 star hotel also and cost less than 100 though. Also, the hotel staff were snobby and not helpful. We arrived many hours before check in because thats when our bus got in. We asked to eat a sandwhich we brought in their sitting area and they said "no its only for guests" and overall just snobby. Wonderful rooms though.
