Location
Great Service
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Zero for the Mutek festival and we could not have had a better stay. The service was excellent with and early check in and flexible check out. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Montreal
Good downtown location.
Valet parking. You can request your vehicle for a certain time or wait 1/2 hr to 40 min.
All was perfect!
location and the creatively designed bathroom. Room darkening blinds
hard bed, tilty bathroom shelf
Nice Hotel, Great Location
The hotel was in a great location, we didn't have to drive anywhere, a tip- valet parking is $26 or one street over it was $9 all day/night underground.. staff was very friendly and rooms where pretty clean (just don't use the dishes provided, I used a glass and left it in the sink and after the cleaner left in the morning the dirty cup was put back on the shelf with the clean ones with coffee still in the bottom and there was no soap to wash it myself) Only complaints, we stayed for 4 days and for the first 2 we didn't have a key to our room because the door wasn't working, so we had to have staff take us upstairs every time we came in. The breakfast was terrible, don't waste $10 on hard muffins, apples and begals. And the walls were a little thin, we could hear the room beside us talking and coughing. All in all we have stayed in pretty bad hotels but this doesnt make the list and we wouldn't not recommend it.
A Good Option
• Hotel was in walking distance of most attractions (Chinatown, Old Montreal, Complexe Desjardins, metro) but not in the center of the hustle and bustle of downtown • Decor was modern and visually interesting • Was comfortable to stay in for multiple nights • Beautiful terrace to enjoy
• When our shower wasn't working properly, it took a little convincing before the receptionist agreed to send up a maintenance person • Dusty (bad for allergies) • Gym is very small (only a couple machines)
I liked the locationa and the modern design of the hotel.
The hotel restaurant wasn't ready (it is still being built). Breakfast was basic. Then again, when the restaurant is up and running it should improve I imagine.
The location was good, and the kitchenette with microwave, crockery, sink etc was well set up. Breakfast was basic, but good quality: sufficient to start you off for the day. Close to the airport bus stop, but be warned: the cost is $8 and the bus only takes coins/ correct change. Also, the bus is not every 15 minutes as advised by staff... In latter parts of the night/ early morning, it is 1 per hour: Check the timetable at the bus stop.
The rooms are not at all sound proofed: the lifts were clearly audible (I was situated mid-way between the two), as were women laughing and joking in the room upstairs and doors slamming in the hallway. The decor is cheaply done: charcoal paint over bare concrete. While it is new now, in a year or two it will be showing marked wear and tear. It appears very dingy and dark. Shower cubicle was very narrow.
The room was nice, clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Downtown location at an affordable price. The building looks very new; recently built.
Staff were a bit rude about checkout time, and seemed a bit unorganized. While it's a central location downtown, it's not the nicest area.
Tradeoff between cost and quality
It would be better that in every room there were rules of hotel. The thing is that is not clear what is included in service?
Good location, excellent helpful staff and reasonable rates. The room on the 12th floor had a fabulous view of Montreal
There was no chair in the room nor was there a bed light to read.
Location
It only has 1 elevator and we were put on the 12th floor, the first morning we stayed there we woke up with the elevator broken. We shopped for 6.5 hours, came back and it was still not fixed. We stayed 2 nights, and it was broken for the majority of the time and was still broken when we left. This served as an extreme inconvenience considering the floor we were on, and because of this reason I would not stay here again. Having to carry our luggage down 12 flights of stairs as we were checking out was a major annoyance!
Great location. I attended a conference at the Palais des Congres, which is only 6 minutes away. Nearby is the Chinatown, where I could find inexpensive dining.
Very clean hotel, unique industrial design (clean lines, basic), kitchen facilities, 24hr convenience store (for late night snacks and alcohol), and proximity to St. Catherines O. and Berri-UQAM.
There was no alarm clock in the room, and there should have been at least two chairs for people to sit in (instead of only one plastic chair at the desk). Also, better quality sheets (personal preference) and towels would be an excellent addition. Finally, a bit faster service at the front desk for check-in would be appreciated. Overall, a great hotel though!
Size of room , quiet , clean , friendly staff .
Air conditioning was uneasy to adjust to the proper temperature .
