Comfortable, Goregous Hotel
Our room was luxurious! The linens were crisp and clean and the beds were so comfortable!!! The staff was friendly and helpful.
We were sitting at the bar for a drink and wanted a quick bite to eat. After a few minutes one of the bartenders made an announcement that there was a private event in an hour and a half and that we would all have to leave in an hour. At that time they started pouring our drinks in plastic and did not want to let us order food. Fortunately, he changed his mind and let us order a bowl of gumbo and the Thai ribs. It only took 15 min to get our order and we were out of there in plenty of time. The transition to a private event at the bar could have been a little less rude.
I loved the uniqueness of the facility! It was beautiful and obviously very well taken care of!
I couldn’t find a microwave anywhere in the facility! This was frustrating when bringing back delicious leftovers and there was no way of heating them up!
Perfect place in New Orleans
It was beautiful!!! The room was spacious, the staff was amazing, the food was delicious
Nice Place; Nice People
The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very nice and welcoming. I honestly don't know why people said it was dirty. But the lobby is elegant, the rooms well furnished and comfortable.
ALL FIVE STARS!!
We attended an event at the Smoothie King Center and was able to walk. This beautiful hotel is centrally located to many of NOLA's attractions and restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive, while the tradition of pb&j at 10:00 pm was a charming touch. The rooms are gorgeous as is the rest of the hotel.
This is not a complaint, but really a praise for kayak.com. Originally, I went through the the hotel's website to book my room. I saved $40 per night by using AMOMA through this website!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and spacious.
The elevator took forever and many people ended up using the stairs. The parking fee is way too high.
Staff was absolutely amazing. Accommodated every request efficiently.
Location was a bit off the beating path but nothing a stroller and long legs couldn't fix.
Hotel had lots of staff and very polite and clean. Historical significance.
Kayak over booked telling us we had a room but the hotel was not advised. Hotel had no knowledge of us coming.
I liked the historic quality of the rooms, and the quiet of the rooms as well. I also appreciated the coffee-maker for the room.
The entire experience was delightful. From pulling up to a beautifully lit, opulent exterior, to the comfortable, old world feel of the room. A historical hotel with modern touches and great, friendly service.
A drink at the bar was $20.
Hotel has a very good central dining room. Staff are courteous and professional. The choice of food although limited, quality is good. The 10-11 pm snacks stuff is very nice. The lounge are very clean, well maintained and give a very good ambiance. Cleanliness of the property is good and that is very nice.
The hotel is quite overpriced. The room (415) has very dim lights, window curtains are difficult to open which gives a feeling of evening all the time. Natural light coming in the room is less. The TV is kept in a cupboard/almera in such a way that you can watch it only from one bed as the doors of cupboard block your view from anywhere else in the room. They should use a simple nice tv stand rather and move the minibar to a corner.
They lost our reservation and in response put us in the Presidential Suite, that was amazing. Service and staff were just wonderful. Also liked the tradition of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every evening at 10 PM.
Well they did lose our reservation. Parking prices were too high.
we spent a great anniversary at this very romantic luxury hotel and paid a reasonable price for it.
Very friendly staff. Very helpful conciere/front desk. Nice pool area. Good location for St. Charles trolly/warehouse/near F. Q. would definitly return except for the one complaint lodged below. Thank you for helping us to have a great first visit to nola
The maid service every morning entailed many doors being open and shut in the am. Although they were not slamming them, it was quit loud and not conducive to sleeping in, especially when waking the nearby infant. Maybe a later start time or easing the doors shut.
The hotel lobby was very elaborately decorated and the rooms were clean and attractive. It was only about four blocks from the area where we spent most of our time and we were able to walk there easily.
After about 10:00 at night, the walk to the hotel room was rather desolate and we were a little uncertain about our safety.
a very opulent setting with beautiful appointments and decor. the atmosphere was calming and luxurious
Bathroom was a little cramped
the hotel was first class, very friendly staff and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and immaculate
bar prices are on the high side
Cozy and comfortable, the cookie is great
Location is not next to Franch Court as Web posted, it has a distance of few blocks away.
