La ubicación maravillosa
El baño al ser compartido debería lavarse más seguido
Dirty. Very creepy. Avoid.
On par with a back packers place
No showers or bath rooms in the rooms, had share and that wasn't clear when booking. The price point didn't reflect that either.
BS charges, very unfriendly and difficult hotel staff
everything. it's a sketchy very questionable hole in the wall. I arrived in person (on my birthday) it was after midnight the desk clerk said they were sold out but to try booking online. I booked via hotels site, it allowed me to, I showed the reservation, he pointed out it wasn't coming up on his system so there was nothing he could do. We figured out together that the booking went in as the following day (due to after midnight) he recommended I call them back after check in time so that it shows in the system, and then cancel. I did exactly as told and they refused to cancel or refund. Very very sketchy.
Services, booking mistakes, shitty uncomfortable bed, and loud.
It was cheap and the location was great.
This is no-frills. The staff is not especially welcoming. The bathrooms could be cleaner.
It was a at a great location. Rooms were alright for the price. Friendly staff.Nice terrace to be outside when it's warmer
The shared bathrooms were just too small and old and dirty. Also right next to the reception. It always smelled of weed
Upon examine my room found out it has not been cleaned. Also found shower clogged with dirt inside it. When I called the front desk I was accused of this more then finding a solution to it. No elevators. Loud and violent neighbors. Stayed on friends couch for the weekend instead of room. Waste of money.
I used to live in Manhattan, and I think the location and convenience are unbeatable. At first the price may not seem outstanding, but once you consider that you have a kitchen and can accommodate families or groups, it becomes very attractive. The location makes it possible to return to the hotel multiple times a day if you want to change clothes or drop off shopping bags or just get a cheap lunch. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for other trips to NYC.
It's not a pretty place to stay (needs painting), and it would be nice to have different sized towels, not just bath sheets (not great for drying dishes). But over all, it's a gem of a place.
Bedbugs! The cleaning lady confirmed it was a bedbug I found in my bed! She also advised me to wash everything I brought in to the hotel before I took it into my house!
Rooms were clean, tv, fridge, location pretty good, near subway
They lifted my luggage to 4th floor, where i stayed.
Our stay on the 5th floor was pleasant. The room itself was large enough to function like a small apartment, which has its merits. The futon, however, if opened fully, blocks movement from the bed to the rest of the space; so, we didn't open it, and I slept uncomfortably on half a futon as a result.
I traveled and stayed with two others. The key broke in the lock the first night, so the three of us had just one key. I could have used a key of my own.
It was cheap. Great location on 14 th street and with a subway near the hotel. The personel were friendly and helpful. It was quiet and calm at the hotel, we were not bothered by any noise. The room was clean and had everything we needed: big comfortable double bed, an well functioning air conditioning, clean towels, refrigerator, freezer, sink, stove, pots, pans, glasses, a clock radio, cupboards, hangers and a dresser. The furniture were new (low quality, not ugly, just neutral), but the interior was old (a good thing) with wooden floor, white walls, high ceilings and with a large window out to a nice backyard with trees. The look of the hotel including our room was: rundown, but clean. It was New York in a lowbudget but very cool way!
There were no mirror in our room. There were no elevator, but we lived in room nr 30 on 3rd floor, so the stairs worked fine for us. There were no televison. We had shosen to have a "shared toilet and bath" so they were in the hallway. They were old and rundown, didn't seem super clean, but it was okay. Sometimes the toilet or bathroom were occupied/busy, but then we could just use another on the same floor or on a nother floor. The bathroom had very poor/non-existent ventilation, so it got very hot and humid in there when someone had taken a bath.
the courtesy of the staff
the cleanliness of the bathroom and the room were very noisy
only the location.
n'y allez surtout pas..don't go there... we had a shared bathroom awful, it was dirty, we couldn't put our feet in the bath... restroom was erghhhhhh...please don't go!! the receptionnist speaks english very bad, and we had to pay 10 dollars to the hotel for the luggage keeping... we have never seen something so bad...
The flexiability and accomidations. The staff was unintrusive and polite. The owner was flexiable on payment and very willing to help or support us in any way that would make our stay more comfortable.
Booking did not show up on their books right away. Due to the proximity of other rooms being very close, the loud music from the other room could be a bit disturbing but it's New York and is to be expected.
it was cheap, very comfortable location.but the all of another things was so bad.
