The staff was amazing, made sure we had everything we needed and since we’d just driven through the night for 13 hrs even got us into our room earlier than 3pm check- in
Their valet parking is not set up well and caused problems several times throughout the weekend including us being late for the wedding photos- the price of valet only parking vs the service was not equal. We also lacked in towels due to the busy weekend
Room didn't seem clean, second day we didn't have a bath mat or washcloths in our room.
Valet staff was extremely nice. All staff was but valet staff was so kind.
I did not have a working toilet and I called for maintenance and no one came to fix it.
It's getting hot in here.
Location was great. Bed was comfortable.
The parking situation was a joke. There was a line a mile long for the valet, which was the only option. My AC didn't work, so the room was incredibly hot. I told the front desk about it, and they didn't do anything about it.
Very comfy bed and clean room. Very nice staff
Wallpaper was peeling off the walls
That we had to pay $19 a day to have my car parked there. I asked the valet guy to park it on the first floor... He took it to the 3rd floor. The terrace was filthy. Sticky carpet in the hallway.
great mattress oversized rooms good downtown location
Not a great value $19 for parking on Saturday night
Location is really good!
No parking included and it wasn't advertised.
Great Staff, Don't Drive!
Helpful Staff, comfy beds
Valet Parking is awful. Hotel needs to identify local events that may crest additional demands on valet staff, then use that info to bring in extra people when necessary. When we stayed, there were two college graduations at the same time which created a huge backup on Saturday morning; the suggested 15 minute lead time to have car brought up by valets was about 30 minutes too short. Give valets at least 45 minutes, hour may be better.
Great, safe location for seeing downtown Norfolk sights including Nauticus and Wisconsin. Easy walk from hotel to Nauticus, so we didn't have to move the car.
This isn't specific to this hotel, but Courtyard's approach to breakfast is very susceptible to long delays during busy times. Hampton Inn and Hyatt Four Points buffets are more efficient (and just as satisfying).
Comfort, location, service
I really enjoyed the privacy and the layout of the hotel. Very comfortable atmosphere.
There were no reservations for me when I arrived. You all did not get the info to the hotel. Fortunately, they were willing to accomodate me in an upgraded room for the price you quoted and didn't reserve. You owe a debt of gratitude to the hotel and staff.
