Cons: Probably my only minor complaint is that the maid service tended to run late into the day. We got back to our suite at 3:30 pm and the room had not been made up yet.

Cons: No daily housekeeping

Cons: After checking in we dropped our luggage at the room and went to the beach for an hour and a half .returned to the room to find our carpet next to the bed soaked . I go to the front desk to let them know to find out that they don't have anothere room to put us in and they would send maintenance up to check on the ac unit. We waited to get dressed for dinner until the maintenance man came and all he did was remove the water with a shop vac and said he would let the desk know what was going on and that's all they could do. I followed up with the desk and the supervisor on duty said there is nothing they could do. I asked for the manger and was told he was in a meeting and not available. So my floor was soaked my entire stay at the dunes and the staff basically said deal with it. I paid way too much money to just deal with. I would not recommend staying there again. Poor management and an inconvenience when you only have a few vacation days Also they placed me in a handicap equipped room . They made me feel as though I was being punished for booking on the Web

Cons: Difficulty in making reservation & in getting a fixed price! Surly staff person at check-in. Gave us room on floor 5, despite request for higher floor. Room had a second queen-size bed: why?? No chair, other than straight-back for desk. No place to watch TV except from 2nd bed. Noisy fridge and blower in bathroom. No one at registration desk to provide info or "key" to enter exercise room. Breakfast buffet price ($17) is exorbitant! Hotel website did NOT mention that OC was celebrating St. Patrick's Day with parade, one week early! Hotel provided no means for written feedback. In general, overpriced, living on laurels from another time.

Cons: Did not receive maid service, sheets were dirty/stained, sand throughout sheets, no beach/ocean view from first floor. Parking limited. Suites not located in hotel, building across street. Love the hotel, but won't stay in suites again. Expected more from Dunes Manor

Cons: Seems to be geared toward a more mature crowd, but this may be due to the time of year.

Cons: No Internet and room service in the adjoining property. That wasn't disclosed at check in or in the in-room instructions.

Cons: The fitness center was lacking. Would have like there to be a sauna and steam room.

Cons: Climbing down 10 flights of stairs at 6am in morning after being jolted out of bed, with the emergency warning. And waiting over 1 hour outside and in the lobby, and finally walking back 10 flights to gset back in our room. My wife suffered some problems on the stairs

Cons: Poor front desk staff, room over an hour late to be ready (4:15p for a 3p check-in)

Cons: got a room with two beds and I am used to a king size so it seemed small to me. that's just my preference

Cons: Front desk clerk was a new employee, but was friendly and welcoming. Asst. manager on duty was not forthcoming with helping me with a booking issue. I did not feel like a valued guest based on her demeanor.

Cons: Housekeeping service was inconsistent (as the other person said). Had to ask for clean sheets, but she told us she's out and left. We felt like cleaning lady was not interested in cleaning the room. We had to call housekeeping and the other crew took care of the room. No roof on the balcony on the top floor - seriously (kind of bummer during ).

Cons: If you want to be in the center of the boardwalk, this is not the place. It is a block north of the end of the boardwalk, which ends at 27th. We had water pressure problems, and also found that cooling was uneven in our room.

Cons: I thought the shower was potentially dangerous. I would have preferred shower doors and wall handels .

Cons: Only problem was finding a place to park for check in. Minor issue.

Cons: Pool bathroom needs attention. The facility is older but out room was clean. I will return

Cons: Old stayed in room 508 water leak in ceiling wallpaper seams peeling a/c loud racket coming from it

Cons: The fan in the bathroom didn't work well so the steam from showers built up a ton, the air was always very thick after a shower.

Cons: The rugs felt worn as was the dated furniture.

Cons: A bit busy on the Memorial Day weekend as lots of young people were checking in / staying.

Cons: Paid close to $900 to be a guest Memorial Day weekend (Thursday-Monday) and did not arrive until 4:00 Monday morning so one day i essentially did not use the room and 1 out of the 2 or 3 days I only received house keeping. The other days all that was done was a change of the towels. Bed linens were never changed (makeup on pillow case still), beds were never made, toilet paper was never changed when empty and room looked atrocious. When this was brought up to the front desk on Sunday it was around 6 when I had just gotten back for the day and at that point my guest and I wanted to unwind before we went out so for house keeping to come up was pointless. The following day when I checked out I was told by management there was nothing he could do because I booked through a third party, however when I contacted the third party who contacted the manager I received a 50 dollar refund. 900 dollars was spent and I only received 50 dollars back when it my opinion not everything I paid for was included. I don't follow especially since one of the days I had reserved the room I never even used it! Not to mention the coffee pot was broken and it took 12 hours for us to receive a new one. Our refrigerator leaked which we did not notice until Sunday night when we got back from being out, but had house keeping actually cleaned maybe it would have been seen before. Prior to all of this I had planned on staying at this location again but after my experience and my experience when I expressed how unsatissfied I was, I'm not so sure. I would rather give another hotel my business in hopes that I am treated the way a guest should be. I go to school for hospitality management so these scenarios or ones similar to these are all things students are taught and how to hand as a means of avoiding the non return guest.

Cons: Staff was not friendly or accommodating. Fire alarm woke everyone up around 730am. Beds were tolerable. Hallways need air fresheners or a dehumidifier because they were musty.

Cons: Everything , the room and the ocean view was lovely.

Cons: Some of the staff greeted us with a grunt and no eye contact. Almost annoyed that we asked a question! On check out a staff member had be sign an account which was not mine, for more than double the amount! I asked her to please check with the guest before handing them the incorrect paper work. I asked her to tear up the incorrect signed bill...she looked at me like I was the crazy one!!!???? That said, some of the younger staff member seemed a little more friendly and approachable.

Cons: Minute we walked in the poor atmospere,dark,reception was poor. We were on second floor behind outside bar which was very noisy. Carpet in hallways stained and dirty. We would not recommend to anyone else.

Cons: Elevators closed too fast.

Cons: No bathroom exhaust. Furniture functional but dated.

Cons: Didn't like having to go outside to get to our room, couch was broken down. Could use remodeling
