The on-site restaurant was excellent (The Whitfield, I believe) though I'd make reservations. The staff was great
Very nice room. Fun lobby and restaurant, with great food. Will be back.
Anyone over 40, stay away
Restaurant was good. The soap in the room smelled good.
Nothing stands out as really bad, but the experience gradually whittled away satisfaction with the stay. Bar stools unusually uncomfortable. Other lobby furniture equally so (and dirty). Actually, doesn't appear to be a comfortable chair in the entire hotel. Folding metal/canvas chair in room good for camping--useless otherwise. Rainfall showerhead placed 6 inches from the wall--took a shower uncomfortably close to the front of the shower enclosure. Bathroom light too dim for wife to put on makeup. Initial impression of stylishness gave way to a dorm-like feel. More like an Ikea infused Super 8 accessorized with thrift store accessories. $9 (small) plastic cup of wine served at the event in the "gym" was likely from a box of Franzia Blush spigotted into a bottle for for the pretense of a pour. By the the following morning, when the barista dude said "three bones, my man," for a paper cup of coffee, I had reached my affectation limit. Anyone over 40, stay away.
A very pleasant surprise
This hotel has a very hip look while being unpretentious. It has a lively atmosphere and very friendly staff. At night, the lobby, bar, and restaurant areas are definitely noisy--no need to worry with your (older) kids being loud. We were pleased with the spacious bedroom, cool design, and comfortable bed. The restaurant is great for dinner (steak and deep fried brussel sprouts) and especially for breakfast (eggs benedict). Great bar as well.
