Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was so good and Jim was a wonderful host.the room was very clean and the Inn had so much character. It would stay here again and again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely divine — lots of local ingredients and thoughtful compositions. The room was elegant and cozy, and the location is absolutely ideal.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly and hospitable staff, easy check in and check out, delicious breakfasts.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Amazing breakfast, great staff and service, very cute and clean
Cons: Bed was a little hard but that is probably a preference type of thing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great breakfast. The Inn is very comfortable and the Inn keeper/owner makes it all work.
Cons: It all worked. We had a very busy week ( a wedding during Covid is not something you can really plan for) and Jim worked with us on some request. Very nice touch.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Freshly made, great variety, delicious
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and an exciting breakfast. The daily changing 2 course breakfast is a perfect start (great self-made pastries!). Jim is a perfect host taking care of his guests. The B&B is located 15 minutes walk from the city center with lots of great restaurants. We can’t remember sleeping better in an hotel. The mattresses were perfect and it is a very calm area. If you prefer a historic villa rather than a modern hotel it gonna be your spot in Portland! We will be back again.
Cons: Nothing

Good 7.0
Pros: The staff was exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. The theme and vibe of the hotel is charming.
Cons: The rooms are just too small. My partner and I are not particularly large people and still we clamored to get our bags unpacked and get out of each other‘s way. It was not a good value for the money.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Pleasant and helpful Prompt service (for tea bags.. but daily) Good bartender Bang in the middle of everything-location And.. the shuttle! The valet boys are helpful 8/10, if not for shuttle and valet
Cons: No coffee, tea bags, water kettle, cups, glasses, ice box etc etc lol. Strange in an otherwise luxury hotel and frankly a little cheap (~$600 per night) Tiny gym
Okay 4.0
Pros: The front desk people were nice. Valet drivers were friendly. Coffee lady was friendly. One day was free.
Cons: 1. For the nightly rate, not much to be excited about. 2. Called ahead for valet at 1100 at night. No one came out, had to wait in the night 3. No housekeeping, blaming COVID. they clean before and after, no discount to the rate.. 4. Limited room service menu Tues. and Wednesday. No staff. The prices were outrageous. Soup, salad, pudding 47.00. Very tasty though. 5. Shower drain blocked. Did fix it No toilet paper in community bathroom. 6. Too expensive 7. Wouldn't recommend 8. Parking too pricy
Okay 4.0
Pros: Just ok..for the cost sucks
Cons: No amenities
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place and location! The breakfast was amazing. All of the food were local and home grown. I love that concept and practice.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Well trained staff. Modern appointments. Central location. Reasonably priced happy hour.
Cons: Needs makeup mirror in bathroom. Better lighting over full length mirror in the entry.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: The decor was interesting. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Conveniently located in the Old Port.
Cons: A bit pricey.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing staff - they really worked to make sure our stay was special!
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice and new accommodation. Staff well trained and extremely friendly. Had one of the best hotel breakfast that I have ever experienced. Location is good.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was gorgeous! The perfect mix of eclectic and high end. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The entire hotel was spotless and the rooms were beautiful. Amazing bathrooms and a bed like a cloud. I will recommend to any friends looking to stay in Portland!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything exceeded my expectations. It was great.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Staff was attentive Clean and Comfortable Awesome location - near the action, but not in the action Easy to get in and out of from Highway Restaurant Looked Great - although we didn't have a chance to eat there.
Cons: TV volume was terrible - even turned up half way was still quite

Excellent 10.0
Pros: very friendly and accommodating hosts, incredible breakfast, great place to stay in Portland
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Amazing breakfast! Inn owner and assistant keeper are such lovely people.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful and tasty breakfast, super friendly staff, great value family hotel close to downtown Portland.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about this place was just perfect. The owners were hospitable and very friendly. The breakfast was AMAZING! The TV was equipped with a fire stick so that you have access to Netflix and Amazon prime and other streaming services, along with basic cable. The room was air conditioned and the bed was so comfortable!! You can tell that they really go above and beyond to make your stay as nice as possible. Many little personal touches that add to the charm of this place. I would highly recommend. Close to downtown Portland and the waterfront. Parking was easy and in a private lot, a very short block from the Inn. **We also stayed during COVID-19 and the Inn was well prepared and specially catered to accommodate each guest, everyone wore masks when necessary and practiced social distancing. It was the perfect getaway.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower could’ve been stronger, but it was fine for rinsing off. The shower was very clean and no other complaints!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very charming. Lots of attention to detail. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Inn is a very sweet and quaint bed and breakfast with a cozy, intimate feel. The house itself is lovely and the rooms were impeccably clean. The innkeepers go out of their way to make you feel welcome, with tea, cocoa, and snacks available at all times. Walking distance to the downtown Portland area, and close to the waterfront.
Cons: Nothing.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. I don't usually splurge on room service, but this was a real treat. Our location was perfect for us, walkable to many sights but in a quieter part of town.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, in a great location and had amazing food available for breakfast that was brought up to the room. I have never had such good baked goods and coffee in my life! The staff were nice very helpful, checkin and checkout were effortless. Room cleaning was also good, I have stayed at hotels recently that did not do room cleaning due to Covid; that was nice. The bathroom and the shower products were excellent; loved the moisturizer! Excellent mini-bar and snacks in the room too.
Cons: The room we had was on a top floor and the windows were small because they were part of the building cornice. I did not realized this when I booked the room, and there were not many rooms left so it was probably the only choice. The room was still bright, but it would have been nice to have the big tall windows like the other rooms. They were also a type of window that could not be opened. Just something to keep in mind if you book on the third floor.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Bed is comfortable
Cons: Place is dumpy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: They found out we were celebrating a recent engagement and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. Our room overlooked a beautiful garden and felt comfortable and homey. The location could not have been better, walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops downtown with convenient parking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is exceptionally attentive and texts you to offer help with anything you need. I told them it was our anniversary and a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us.
Cons: Built-in soap dispensers in shower are hard to manoeuver.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location
Cons: The closet in the room was awful, the chair should be switched to the other side of the room and the desk in its place
Okay 5.0
Pros: It’s a lovely old building in a lovely part of Portland. We enjoyed walking, etc. we also enjoyed our private deck where we ate several times.
Cons: The staff were indifferent to the needs of older people as to luggage and breakfast options. The hotel is very expensive and serves no breakfast. 5he only suggestion from staff was the place across the street where every morning a long line of people cued up to eat outside. The second day it was pouring! I expected much better service and information given the earlier texts and emails and the cost of the room. For the last two days the internet didn’t work well. It was frustrating. !
Okay 5.0
Pros: Portland hotels are expensive not sure why - so this is at least less expensive (though I still wouldn’t class as inexpensive). But it’s not really a hotel in all honesty. More like a B and B without the breakfast. No one at desk at night after 10 or maybe 11 (it was 10 on one of our nights) and those that are on duty though v pleasant can be challenged by simple requests (eg a wine and beer glass please or what’s up with the wi fi?). Wi fi didnt function for our two days. No Spa because of Covid. We had an attic room - fairly bare, a small kettle and tiny fridge but no teabags or coffee bags or creamers. For a “boutique” hotel these are low price high yield additions to a room. A card with instructions for the rather complicated light switches and cooling / heating would be useful too. The downstairs foyer sitting room is small. Certainly not many guests could avail at one time. Parking is good - right beside hotel and free.
Cons: See above.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Great location. Small boutique feel.

Excellent 10.0
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location could not have been better!
Cons: The rooms were very small and it was expensive.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Bed and sheeting were top shelf.
Cons: That's not a $500/night room.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It is classy, historic but modern, right in the center of old port. Affordable and quiet, great soundproofing. The bar below and the tables outside under the trees are added perks. They even came to pick us up from the airport. Great hotel.
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was superb! Beds were so comfy.
Cons: Door to room was tricky to open. Room was small.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is fantastic and I was able to walk around for shopping/restaurants. It's also close to a walking loop around the Back Bay. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Cons: The King "Deluxe" room didn't have a chair to sit in so I either had to sit on the bed or on a bench. More room was available in the room I stayed in last year that had 2 queen beds. I moved the bathroom trash can and there was some on the floor that wasn't from me. Overpriced, but I was there for a wedding reception on a holiday weekend; comparable price to other hotels in the area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic location. Able to walk to all the downtown sites. Friendly staff and beautiful, historic and renovated hotel.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location was very convenient to Old Port. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice Whiskey Bar with an outstanding selection. Room was spacious and the bed/bedding was tremendously comfortable. Unfortunately, as I mention below in the negative section, we could not enjoy the comfortable bedding.
Cons: Unfortunately, the noise level at the hotel was completely unacceptable. Hotel is obviously a huge wedding/event venue and there was a wedding/reception on both nights we stayed (a Friday and a Saturday). The noise from the weddings/receptions/parties and the adjacent street activity lasted well past 2AM on both nights and could be heard throughout the hotel and particularly in our room. It was impossible to sleep until noise died down closer to 2:30AM. The location of the wedding/reception areas within the hotel, coupled with poor soundproofing in the building was as bad as any hotel I have ever stayed at. I would never stay at this hotel again when they had any weddings or events booked.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A nice clean comfy traditional room. Staff was friendly and the location was great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location, rooms and service
Cons: The weather
Good 6.8
Pros: Great location. The spa was good.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor and it sounded as though every toilet in the building was directly above us.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: All of the staff - from valets to room service, desk clerks to lounge staff, housekeeping to spa staff - were friendly, knowledgeable, professional
Good 7.7
Pros: I loved the location and the hotel/room was very clean.
Cons: There was a continuous noise above the bed. It sounded like a pipe clanging. Thank goodness for the sound machine feature on the alarm clock. Also, the bed was very firm with starchy sheets. The terry cloth robe had a large rip in it as well.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: I liked the historical nature of the building, and the architectural details. I found the hotel to be big on comfort, cleanliness, and friendly and helpful staff. Loved the complimentary coffee delivered to your room in the morning, much nicer than having to make substandard coffee in the room. The Mill St. restaurant on the premises has wonderful food and a lovely ambience. I didn't take advantage of any of the spa offerings, so I can't comment on those.
Cons: It would be helpful for rooms to have a small fridge. The lighting in my room was not great for reading, but the huge windows let in a lot of natural light. The internet was painfully slow. I didn't understand the need for the valet parking, since the lot was just across the street, and I would have happily parked on my own and walked over. But it was inexpensive, $12, so this is not really a complaint, just an observation.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: location
Cons: would have enjoyed a fridge and coffee maker in room
Excellent 9.7
Pros: I am a female and was travelling alone to see my son. I got my room and from then on, felt comfortable, secure, close to conveniences and within walking distance to great shops, restaurants and more. I was also given the gift of a spa treatment while there, and that experience was heavenly! The dining room was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely lovely! I was also quite comfortable eating alone here, with a seat by a warming fire. I will be returning to Portland shortly, and would like my same room and experience. Loved it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everyone at the hotel was so nice and went above and beyond to be helpful. The location is perfect right in the center of the city. There are so many great restaurants just around the corner. I also really enjoyed the spa at the hotel. The facilities are very relaxing and everyone that works there can help you figure out exactly what you need. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great location. Walking distance to the old port and lots of restaurants and bars. A great stay.
Good 7.0
Pros: The room service staff and valet were super friendly and extremely helpful. Other than that, it was a horrible experience...not a bit relaxing!
Cons: I work in the hospitality industry, so I know what great service is. When I got there, the TV wasn't even plugged in...then I went out with some friends, came back to a dark room, and when I tried to turn on the lamps on the side tables, I found that neither of them were plugged in. It was as if the room hadn't been used in months! When I called the front desk to complain, the woman at the front desk blew it off like it was no big deal! I ordered room service at 8:30 in the morning (which was great) and then put the do not disturb sign on the door. Well evidently it was irrelevant...I had fallen back asleep after I ate my breakfast, then at 10:30 I got a call from housekeeping seeing if I was still there...she didn't even apologize for waking me up, but at 11 I got a knock on my door from housekeeping! Check out was at 12, and I felt very rushed! For the money I spent, it was a horrible experience! I will never go back, and I will spread the word about my awful experience.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Perfect location in downtown Portland - a very short walk to the wharf and local restaurants/pubs
Cons: A bit pricy, but it's in line with other hotels in the area.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very romantic accommodating cozy comfortable environment. Very tasteful and engaging and interesting decorating. Nicolette the innkeeper was amazing
Cons: Caution authentic high four poster beds. Not necessarily for the faint of heart! Very romantic but not necessarily the most relax sleeping accommodations.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely artistic home. Great experience. Very accommodating staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast and service were exceptional. Staff was really the best, even cleared our car of 2 days of heavy snow!
Cons: 3 flights of stairs for seniors was a tad much, but hardly a major issue.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We really loved the eclectic decor (previous owners of the house were artists). The location is a quiet residential area with beautiful old houses but within walking distance of restaurants, museums and shops. The breakfast was also good.
Cons: Sometimes it seemed like they didn’t have enough people working there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The overall experience was very pleasant and the unique creativity of decor much appreciated!
Cons: The breakfast experience was a little confusing, leaving guests unsure about food selections and the Inn’s morning routine. Most of our past Inn stays had someone greeting us and explaining the process etc.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Quiet room
Cons: Mattress was a little soft..but we enjoyed the room. Quiet and spacious.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very good value, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast facility not open due to covid, but the items available were excellent and varied.
Cons: No elevator and many steps.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location was good and the breakfast was continental. The staff were very helpful with giving locations in the city and good places to eat.
Cons: bed was not comfortable and No elevator was horrible going up and down three flights of stairs. Also, the bathroom was a shared one in the hallway with people in three other rooms.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: This is a quaint, beautifully maintained Inn. It is very quintessential New England. There was a lovely coffee and tea service with snacks on arrival. A nice little grab and go breakfast as well It’s not in the hub of the action but the walk is short to get there. After seeing the waterfront, I’m glad I didn’t spend the money to stay there. It’s not much of a view Thank you !
Cons: Nothing. I would stay again
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, cleanliness, kind staff, breakfast
Cons: The bathroom was separate, on the hallway. I didn’t mind it though.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn itself was quaint and charming. Location was a plus.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Old world feel but up to date amenities. Large room. Didn't feel like a "hotel". Loved it.
Cons: A little away from the harbor and restaurants. Walk, cab,Uber solves that issue.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff, and the ambience. And the price.
Cons: I agree with a previous reviewer that the bed was not as comfortable as it could be - a little stiff with hard pillows.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very sweet and quaint. Some of the accommodations you share a bathroom, but you save money when you chose one of those rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful quaint little inn
Cons: No elevators: not an issue for me, but maybe for others.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm decor , free and convenient parking
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Clean, friendly, not too far from town
Cons: External bathrooms won't be to everyone's liking , wasn't a big deal for me
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable room-beautifully decorated!
Cons: Location wasn't the best but that was a minor setback.
Good 7.7
Pros: Half the price of other options in old port, friendly staff and clean rooms. Very European set up, small rooms detached bathroom, but nice enough facilities. Interesting old building.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: There was a lot of space in the hotel room, free wifi, 2 TVs and a gym and pool included with no additional charge.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is good. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Cons: N/A
Okay 5.0
Pros: Staff very friendly and the location was good. Our room was not very clean and furniture pretty stained. Similarly the lobby furniture was stained and not very clean.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The front desk staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Sofa and furniture in room and lobby stained
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The room
Cons: No auto maid sevice
Okay 5.0
Pros: I liked the pool and gym but the rooms looked cheap and it was very expensive!! For a one night stay. Breakfast wasn’t really that good either.
Cons: Rooms were very cheap couch look like a half of couch and not very suite like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The friendly staff, happy hour at the lounge, excellent breakfast, clean and large rooms ...what is there not to like?!
Cons: No fault of Embassy Suits, but I showed up a week early! And they were booked solid. We came back the next week to celebrate 38 years of marraige. (It was worth the wait - LOL).
Okay 4.2
Pros: I liked that the hotel was pet friendly and had a reception in the evening. The location was convenient to bother the jet port and downtown Portland.
Cons: The hotel did not have a requested item set up in the room upon arrival. The shower had hair on the walls and there were people smoking underneath our window all night, which came directly into the room through a vent. It was very slippery out and all of the walkways and sidewalks remained untreated, making it very unsafe for both guests and pets. Management was not particularly responsive to any of these concerns.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: We were tired and hungry from the drive. When we arrived we were greeting by the innkeeper, her daughter and dog and welcomed with snacks and drinks, which were appreciated. The room was a bit tight but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom across the hall looked brand new and it was private. In the room was a tv to relax with little veranda. The owner thought of everything to make you comfortable including the delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes in the am! We would definitely come back!
Cons: The parking was a little tricky to fit 4 cars but all in all it worked
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was clean & comfy. The location was convenient with a few places to walk close by. Breakfast was ok but could have offered a few other options ie. cold cereal & toast. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
Cons: There was really nothing I didn’t like other than a few more options for breakfast especially more kid friendly options.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent good location
Cons: The price
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Maria and Tyler at the desk for very helpful. The little grab and go breakfast is a nice touch. The dark brew was really good. Didn’t have a chance to try out the pool but it looks nice. We asked for a quiet room and we definitely got it. Also appreciated the plentiful parking.Nice to have the mini fridge and microwave in the room. I would definitely recommend this as a reasonable Portland option.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: only 1 elevator
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All was good.
Cons: Everything was fine. There were no problems.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable
Cons: No hot breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Clean rooms. Quiet location.
Cons: Breakfast was blah. No variation of food items.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Arrived at midnight to a blocked off parking lot, cranes and construction. Clearly closed yet someone still answered the phone and said there are a couple rooms available in the back. I felt bamboozled!! Cancelled and stayed at the Clarion around the corner.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was close to downtown. With the train station and sea dogs field you would have thought it was noisey but it wasn't at all. Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable.
Cons: The driveway entrance comes up quick and is kind of narrow.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The beds
Cons: No TV because of snow
Good 6.2
Pros: The rate was affordable, which was nice since we just needed a place to stay after getting into the Portland airport. Our flight arrived at 12AM, so it was convenient to not have to drive far afterwards. Also, the free continental breakfast in the morning was a definite plus!
Cons: The rooms were not clean. There was rust all over the bathroom, and the shower was stained with mildew. Also, the hotel is in a weird part of town, and we didn't feel safe walking to and from the car to get our luggage at night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was so very helpful -- allowing us to return our rental car to the airport the night before our flight and then they picked us up there, and they ordered a cab for us early in the morning to get to the airport; they directed us to pick up some breakfast items that were getting ready to be put out even though it was an hour before the official breakfast start time The place was so clean and the rooms lovely, quite the contrast to a motel we had stayed at the previous two nights
Okay 5.1
Pros: This hotel has a great location...close to the airport, close to the downtown waterfront, and easy to get around. It is definitely on the low-end of prices for the area and there was nothing bad about the area around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was nice, nothing too fancy, but worked out great for a quick bite before meetings.
Cons: The rooms are pretty dated. They have tried to dress them up with new bedding, but the rooms smell terribly of smoke, even though they are 100% non-smoking. The first room I got was so bad with a smoke smell, that I asked to be moved, which they accomodated. However, the second room was just as bad as the first, maybe even worse. My business colleague said the exact same thing about his room, so I am guessing that most rooms smell like smoke.
Good 6.8
Cons: For an overnight near the airport with our adult daughter before her morning flight out, we looked for a suite, since her parents both snore. The second bed was a fold-out couch two feet from the first. Since we'd booked through Kayak, no .negotiation with the hotel was possible.
Good 6.2
Pros: Convenience. My son and I attended a Maine Red Claws basketball game. The hotel was very convenient to the stadium and I envision the same for a Sea Dogs game. Room was basic but decent size.
Cons: Nothing major. Outside, hallways and lobby were a bit plain and drab.

Good 7.0
Pros: Staff we encountered were great.
Cons: I feel the place could be a little cleaner. The bathroom shower curtain has mold spots in it. The pool floor looks dirty. The pool windows black on them.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: They accommodated us with a sick child and let us stay another night st the same rate.
Cons: Double beds were uncomfortable.
Good 6.0
Pros: The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: Very dirty bathroom. Razor stubble in the sink and ball of hair came out of the drain. Bed was old and sunken.. we had two rooms and it was pretty much the same in the other.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My 9 year old son and I went for two nights and had a great time. We loved the room it was clean and comfortable. We spent many hours in the pool which was also clean and just a neat room. We ordered room service for dinner both nights and the food was delicious. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and it was also perfect. Overall we would definitely return to this hotel or others in the chain!
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Location, cleanliness, pool,
Cons: Bartender was REALLY slow, and when I asked the front desk for a re-print of my receipt from dinner the night before, she told me she couldn't do it, and didn't offer to figure it out. She did tell me to have a nice day...
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Most everything. Fun to have Starbucks right there and the Mall across the street.
Cons: Toilet clogged before retiring and we were too tired to call the front desk. It made the morning unpleasant to have a clogged toilet. I'm sure they would have fixed it right away but we were only there for the night and checked out early. That's our only complaint.
Good 6.0
Cons: Overall the room was great. It was very clean and the staff was nice. The walls however are very thin and we could hear our neighbors that kept us up through the night.

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: We switched rooms right away as the bathroom had a bad smell and the room was at 66 degrees. The thermostat was virtually unreadable. We changed rooms and that room was also at 66 degrees. Again the thermostat was virtually impossible to read. We had to guess the mode. Finally got it to room temperature, then it would not shut off properly by the thermostat. Poor nights sleep as we had to shut the system down to "survive" ... it was very humid. Bath vanity was in poor condition all scratched up. Not what I would expect from Hilton. May call the Mgr. for a price adjustment when I get home.
Good 7.0
Pros: We got in very late (~1am) due to a flight delay, and needed a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Despite having few staff overnight, the hotel provided a shuttle quickly and the driver (who also checked us in) was upbeat and wonderful. I think things are very hard for hotel workers right now, since hotels are often understaffed, but the hotel staff were fantastic throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel experience was as expected for a Hilton Garden Inn.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice staff, accommodations were great. I like being close to the airport.
Cons: Lack of parking. There was a tournament or youth event near by, which clogged up parking. A lot of the players stayed there.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Front desk rude, did’t understand reservation system, blamed others, dirty, plumbing fixtures broke
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Breakfast was boxed because of covid but not great. Staff member seemed friendly.
Cons: Understaffed. Poor front desk guy was doing 6 jobs. I waited 30 minutes for ice because both the ice machines were broken. Then I and gave up. Pool was in maintenance for 2 days. Breakfast wasn’t great. Room bathroom was not clean. Carpeting with not clean.
Good 7.0
Pros: normal room
Cons: I didnt like that theydo not make the room up until the 3rd day. after the first day we needed towels and sheets. It was also rediculously expensive
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location was perfect for our late arrival and early departure only being about 2 minutes from the airport. Having the free 24-hour airport shuttle was a definite help. The staff always greeted us with smiles and friendly conversation. There was coffee and tea readily available, as well.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Proximity to Portland Jetport
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.5
Pros: The hotel staff were so accommodating to our very large group -- I can hardly praise them enough!
Cons: The had a little trouble keeping up with the hot breakfast orders, but we generally weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Bed was hard. Pillows too soft
Excellent 9.1
Pros: The bathroom door in 346 does not close easily.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Overall experience was enjoyable. We only stayed one night due to other travel plans, but would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again.

Okay 5.0
Pros: Location wasn’t too bad for the places we wanted to go.
Cons: Pool was cold. Beds were extremely tiny for a room reserved for four people. Temperature in room was either too warm or too cold.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. I appreciated the shuttle to the airport.
Cons: It was fine. It met my expectations.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was up on 3rd floor I believe. Very nice - during end of covid but first time my husband and I had been anywhere for 1.5 years. The staff was exceptional even though a wait person didn't come in one a.m. another one did a little later. The shortage of good people willing to work right now is affecting every business so we understood. Great location to the waterfront and even though it was by the airport we never heard any planes!!!! Thank you!! Christine Davis
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice view
Cons: No patio privacy
Okay 5.0
Pros: Close proximity to downtown.
Cons: Dirty and dingy facilities, stains on the bedsheets, paint peeling in the bathroom.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly. He was easy to converse with and gave great recommendations for dinner and breakfast options dependant on our taste (i.e. seafood vs. non-seafood). He made our stay! We also really enjoyed the pool and overall condition of the room we stayed in. Everything has been kept up well. We would certainly stay here again!
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 9.1
Pros: This affordable hotel is great for the price, the amenities are superb and the staff are excellent.
Cons: Breakfast is not included and the hotel is on the very outskirts of Portland so I’d recommend driving or hailing a Lyft/Uber
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Easy access to where we needed or wanted to go. Staff very helpful with directions. Breakfast staff very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Room not attended to on our second day. Apparently they were told we were leaving.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: the friendly staff
Cons: The mold on the bathroom ceiling and walls.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location near the train station made this hotel convenient.. Staff was friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was solid.
Cons: Hotel was full of guests, it seems the staff was having a bit of hard time keep up with day to day upkeep. The hallways needed a vacuuming for instance.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: The hotel was clean the staff seemed friendly enough. They had coffee, tea and cookies in the entrance which was nice. I really liked the size of the room and that it had a mini refrigerator which was extremely helpful for me.
Cons: The hot water for the shower in my room was not working however I was only there for a half marathon so I didn't bother calling for help at the front desk since I was about to checkout and run a long distance. I'm sure they would have helped if I called about the issue
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Near baseball, concert venues and easy drive to town. Nice rooms. Nice staff.
Cons: Hot tub Aweful.
Good 6.0
Pros: Hotel was clean, convenient to downtown, plenty of parking
Cons: Front desk was very uninterested-did not even make eye contact upon check in, and restaurant is actually the worst I've ever had in a hotel. This place has potential but needs a little love.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: clean, comfortable, close to where I needed to be. Food was very good.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: People at the front desk and in housekeeping were very friendly, helpful and accommodating
Cons: I had a late check out bc of a race I ran that morning. So I was taking a nap before I left with the do not disturb sign hung on the door. Housekeeping did knock and awoke me even though I was notified that housekeeping was aware of my checkinv out late. Besides that everything was great!
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Location was great, right off I-295, and minutes from where I wanted to be in the morning. Room was clean. It has a restaurant inside which was convenient. Food (bowl of soup) was OK.
Cons: Water temperature in shower was extremely hot; I nearly scalded my back when going to turn off water. Also, there were (unused?) hand towels in tub. Did they just fall, or were they left by previous guest?
Good 6.0

Cons: Bathroom wasn't clean

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. Every convenience was available to make us comfortable from an upstairs sitting room with home-cooked snacks to a fantastic breakfast. It was very close to all the places we wished to visit and the host was very helpful and friendly. Obviously, he cares deeply about his business and his guests because everything was done to ensure our stay was pleasant. The contrast between this establishment and other bed and breakfasts where I have have stayed was enormous in the best way possible.
Cons: We liked everything.
