Pros (+) Location on the edge of Nob Hill was great. Could totally walk to area restaurants & bars, and the bus stop out front for easy access to Pearl District & Downtown. Parking was free. Staff is friendly and the hotel was clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons (-) Agree with another poster who referred to the hotel as "tired". The mattresses in our room were not the best, but they weren't terrible either. Prices are higher than I would have expected, but hotel prices in Portland in general were higher than I expected (also hotel taxes -- what the heck, Portland?) -- and when the free parking is factored in, the Silver Cloud provided the best value.

Lots of good restaurants nearby and easy drive from the airport, and easy public transportation access if using ( I didn't use this service, but did see bus stops).
