Very clean and comfortable, very helpful staff. Excellent proximity to Termini rail station. Free mini bar items and an extensive breakfast buffet. Mostly consistent WiFi.
Air conditioning didn’t seem to be working which was a bummer during the heat wave, but I was only there for one night and didn’t have anyone investigate the problem.
Nice hotel in a good location
The hotel was a very short walk from the Roma Termini station. Many of the major sites were within walking distance. The rooms were very clean and the staff was courteous.
The cost a nod location helped a lot.
A single elevator and the breakfast that was extremely limited
You get what you pay for
Hotel Diana Roof Garden is relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area, though that comes at the expense of comfort. The breakfasts on the roof were pleasant.
Despite reserving a smoke-free room (the entire hotel is supposedly smoke-free?), we were assigned a room that smelled very strongly of smoke. We asked the gentleman working at the reception desk for a new room and he acted as if we were inconveniencing him. He did end up assigning us another room, which did not smell of smoke, but looked out onto a wall (not a big issue since we weren't planning on doing much other than sleep in the room), but it was a bit disappointing since we had requested a room with a view. The thermostat in the room was broken and the air coming out of the A/C could not be lowered below what I'm guessing was 24 or 25C. Generally, I'm not a fan of A/C, but it was particularly hot in Rome when we were there (highs of 37C). If I could do it again, I would have paid €10-20 more for another hotel.
Rooms were clean and quiet. Roof garden was beautiful.
No counter space in bathroom.
It is very colse to Termini station to access airport as well as use subways.
A breakfast is a plain compere with other 4 stars hotel. The voices and sounds from the next room can be heard distinctly through the door.
Small rooms old furniture, after two nights I change the hotel
The location and the friendliness of people staff.
Very good breakfast buffet and nice rooms
Location is central. Quick "pressing" service which is good for business travelers. Breakfast was good too.
The front desk are a bit inexperienced. They had to print out our bill 3 times (and cancel 2 transactions) at check-out...
Convenient location, but pricy
On a very noisy street; staff rather nonchalant toward guests, we thought.
The Roof Garden and the location
Clenliness of the hotel and central position, roof garden was excellent
Courteous and helpful staff
Noise from the street
- Good location near Stazione Termini and Via Nazionale. Easy access to everywhere in Rome using the busses/metro leaving from this area. - Renovated room: everything was new and in working order. - Excellent daily cleaning of the room. Linen and towels changed daily.
- Room facing the internal "courtyard": on arrival at the hotel I specifically asked for a room facing the inner courtyard (in order to avoid eventual traffic noice). However, the internal "courtyard" was, in fact, a bleak, empty 10m x 10m (@30ft x 30ft) space facing other room windows. Advice for future travellers: get a room facing the street! (the windows were also new so there should be no excessive noice from the street). - The specific room I was in was very small. Even though classified as a double room I'd see two persons in it having problems of space. (However, the other rooms might be more spacious.) - The breakfast was not up to the standards of a 4-star hotel: coffee machine (even though the waiters did you a "real" coffee in the kitchen if you asked them to), no fresh fruits (only canned ones). - The safe in the room did not work on my arrival, I noted it to the reception for two days in a row and I was promised it to be fixed. As I left after 4 days the safe was still not fixed: I would not expect this of a 4-star hotel.
