Hair on all 3 pillows, need I say more!!! Bathroom fairly clean, but the bed had just been made again, with used sheets. Internet connection was one bar and working between connection and off line. Do you know the feeling of writing a letter and push send, and then you are offline...?

Price was unbeatable. Bathroom was remodeled and sparkling clean. Room was very plain and basic, but clean. Location was great. Parking was free. Bed was comfortable, pillows were great. Had king rooms available at no extra cost. Room had a fridge and we froze ice in baggies (no ice machine). If you are on a very tight budget, or are a bargain shopper (like us), this is a dream come true. TV easy to work, no premium channels. Half the cost of any other motel in the Marina District, and perfect to sleep and clean up and get going. One step up from a hostel.
Outside was undergoing remodel, outside floor rough where walkway carpet had been removed. Long narrow parking strip, had to back out onto the street. No clothes closet or hooks to hang clothes, we used a "towel loop" in the bathroom.No in or out of room coffee service, but a 24 hour donut shop about 2 blocks away. No ice machine. If you don't care about amenities grab this deal. If you're spoiled by free hot breakfasts, or on a fantasy vacation or romantic getaway, go elsewhere. These are not complaints, just hints of the quirky things you will find.

It is easily accessible to down town San Francisco using public transportation.
I booked the king room and was given a double bed because the room was not available. The place looks horrible. It needs to be torn down. Too noisy.

Location was fine - you could walk to fisherman's wharf fairly easily. From the outside the hotel looked run-down, but the room was well-kept and clean.
the bed/pillows were too soft, the wifi signal was too weak so we couldn't access the internet.

The price for the location was excellent. Well worth the cost of not having to deal with morning rush hour in San Francisco. Would definitely stay again.
I would say they could update the bedding, other than that nothing.
