Pros: The staff were friendly and were largely fluent in English. The location was great, only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and parks. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The rooftop bar was very nice but wasn't open on the weekend which was a disappointment. Really good quality for the price.
Cons: The pool is in the basement which was a mistake on our end, some old/incorrect pictures showed it as a rooftop pool which made spending a day at the pool impossible. Water in the room is outrageously expensive, $10/bottle! The shower/tub combo was a bit uncomfortable - I'm very average size and it was too narrow to stand shoulder width. The room was starting to show some signs of age but still a very good value.

Pros: Staff was efficient and courteous, English was good. Room service was also good -- food arrived quickly and was decent as far as room service goes. The prices for room service and the restaurant were all reasonable and the service was friendly. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Wifi worked fine.Overall a pleasant stay. It is not the most luxurious hotel, but it got the job done comfortably.
Cons: The price for the kind of room you get -- a bit pricey. I guess location is what you're paying for, since it is literally across the street from the terminal. There were similar rooms at the Ritz Carlton and Grand Hyatt for roughly 60-70 dollars more, but in the city center, which is about a half hour from the airport to provide context. Also, the room was supposed to be non-smoking, but I did notice a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Nothing too bad.

Cons: Food is horrendous and when we checked in the front desk girls were unaccomodating and not gracious in any way. Our room had a view of dirt and a fat man undressing across the way, and when all we wanted to do was lay down to recover from jet lag, the beds were hard as a rock yet bent in flimsy, strange places. The remote control was filthy and it reminded me of a one star hotel. Very gross!!

Cons: In my particular room, the bed was quite old and saggy. That was not the case with the beds in my friend’s room. The shower drain was also clogged... again, not the case in the other room.

Mold in the bathroom walls (between the tiles), inconsistent water pressure (so be aware of hot/cold surprises when showering) The room furniture was not designed for the size of the room (or it looked like) Only one small closet (similar to an individual room) for a cuádruple room (equivalent to two rooms) and no drawers or any other place where to place your stuff.

Pros: Great hotel. Good food, terrific gym, great public space. The staff was outstanding. The extra attention they paid to us was wonderful. Nothing was to much to ask. We actually spent two days at the hotel without leaving. Just enjoying the surrounding.
Cons: The pool was freezing. 90 degrees outside and the pool was so cold you could only stay in to get wet. We did enjoy watching everyone "try" to get in for their first time. The towels need to be replaced in the room.

Pros: The staff -- several of whom spoke good English -- were very friendly and forgave us our poor Spanish. They were patient with us when we tried to pay with a Discover card (not accepted much in Chile) and had to use another. The manager (or at least the one on duty when we were there) also helped us with a suggestion about which bus to use to get to Valparaiso the day we checked out. Another gentleman kindly retrieved us from the lobby and told us as much as he was able in English about the area. We loved our loft room. The place was clean and comfortable, including and especially the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend.
Cons: It was a bit confusing to find -- the address belongs to more than one operation, it seems, and the man behind the desk right inside the front door did not speak English and had to call someone else to come get us. (He was, at least, able to nod when we said "Amistar Apartments" and motioned for us to wait for someone to help us.)
