Don't stay here

The location off the highway and near places to go in Tallahassee was good.

We made and paid for the reservation ahead of time while evacuating from South Florida from Hurricane Irma. I called twice to confirm the reservation and let them know we'd arrive late. Halfway to Tallahassee, I got a call telling me my credit card transaction didn't go through and they were giving up my room. This was a blatant lie because the charge already appeared on my statement. I told them this and they agreed to hold the room I'd already paid for as if they were doing me a favor. Upon arrival, the room was filthy with dead bugs on the floor and live bugs flying around. The floor had a film of dirt on it. The bathtub had spots of who-knows-what that could be wiped off with toilet paper. The room had a stale smokey/mildew smell that was awful. The beds were hard, sheets scratchy. Awful experience. Found an economy hotel an hour down the road for the same price that was excellent. No excuse.

Staff was very friendly

Hotel was old compared to nearby properties. LED lights in rooms are almost blinding. TV was unplugged upon check-in
