The location was amazing. Just a hop down to the beach. Lots of chairs and shade. You can see the ruins from the water and it was about a 10 minute walk to the entrance. Staff were friendly and food was good. Okay for a night or two As so close to the beach, but wouldn't recommend a long term stay.
We knew it was going to be basic with no electricity during certain hours and only fans for cooling/air circulation. Our room was stifling hot due to no ventilation/no air circulation. A second window or a second fan would have done wonders as we often felt better with the door open, but couldn't leave it open all night due to bugs and wild life. The showers and bathroom could use some cleaning and extra maintenance. Several shower heads were falling off, there was often no toilet paper in the washroom and no lights for the bathroom. I used my flashlight on my phone as a light and am happy I did as one time someone did not flush and there was blood in the bathroom(toilet and floor).

Loved our little beach hut. Bed was super comfortable and it was right by the water. It's also the closest hotel to the ruins we just walked over.

Decent Hotel, Understaffed
Hotel refused to give us back deposit on towels.

Relaxed atmosphere and polite staff. Right on the beautiful beach. Short stroll up to Tulum Mayan ruins. Taxis always available when needed. Bike rental available.
Electricity off from 7am to 7 pm. Made huts very dark and warm if you slept past 7am or got back before 7pm. A little shelf or two and some clothes hooks would have been nice as nowhere to hang or put your stuff. We kept our suitcase on the hut table. We also bought an adapter plug in s local supermarket so we could charge our phones while still having use of the fan! Bought twine so we could hang clothes inside and outside the hut. We love to camp and this is basic beach stay, so think of it along the lines of camping and bring torches, twine, mosquito coils etc.
