Reasonably priced, convenient location for a lovel
We liked the location. Staying on Murano was reasonably priced and just a 7 minute vaporetto ride to Venice each morning. We could return to Murano the same way as late as midnight. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to vaporetto stops) and there are small supermarkets (Co-op and Spar) within a 5 minute walk. There are also a few restaurants close by. We paid £240 for 4 nights at this hotel. We spent most of our holiday in Venice of course, but this was a very convenient and cost friendly base.
Nothing to dislike.
The generous space in the bathroom. The excellent and generously sized bed offering an extremely comfortable night's sleep. Murano is such a peaceful relief from the main Island of venice and the small internal courtyard with tables must be a pure delight in Summer. The breakfast was simple but very well judged. No excess just perfectly adequate. The smallness of the hotel is a delight.
There is a dliemna about being on the island in the evening, since everything closes so early and getting an evening meal on the island is not easy. Strangely on the last day we discovered a SPA supermarket open late hidden down an alley near the Colonna vaporetto stop, which meant you could bring back a perfectly good salad type cold dinner to the room.
Located in the heart of Murano just a short ferry ride from Venice. Close to the Faro ferry stop. Basic accommodations but adequate.
Only one complaint, the shower was a bit moldy and needed a good cleaning.
The hotel is well located with Faro waterbus stop just down the road. It's a good location if you can't get Venice city accommodation, travelling to Burano is easy. The woman who apparently runs the business is helpful and cheerful.
Murano is a pretty quiet place after dark with not a lot of restuarants. If yo're looking to self cater then you'd better get those supplies before coming back to the island as there are only a few stores (or at least that's what I found). You will need to buy a waterbus ticket to cover the duration of your stay if you plan on travelling off island. Note if you don't buy a day (or multiple day) ticket, one return ticket will cost 13 euro per person. If you're looking to do Venice on the cheap then it adds up. Though Venice accommodation is generally expensive, I didn't think this hotel was value for money. I had the ground floor room and there were plenty of the bugs as mentioned in other posts. Adequate hotel with not a lot to recommend.
This is a traditional Italian family run hotel. Its real advantage for us was that it is very near tha vaporetto stop at Faro - the lighthouse - on the island of Murano. This means you can easily travel to Venice itself, the other islands in the lagoon, and the main airport by water. Murano itself, apart from all the glass manufacturers and related shops, has the benefit of being a smaller version of Venice itself. There are plenty of visitors - and so restaurants - during the day, and correspondingly fewer of both in the evening. The hotel supplies a continental breakfast and does a busy lunch trade beneath umbrellas outside. It does not serve evening meals, but there is an adequate choice elsewhere on Murano.
This is a small hotel with some charm, but no frills. I liked it - and the people that run it - but it would not suit those looking for something grander: but then they should be paying even more for it in Venice itself. If you are used to North American prices, rooms and facilities, then you may be in for a culture shock (as generally in Italy), those of us from England may be more at home - though won't expect the mosquitoes.
Staff were friendly and obliging. Peaceful atmosphere in the evenings with easy access to Venice. Watch the times of the last Vaporotto,s from the southern end of the Grand Canal though or face an endless walk through a maze of alleys and streets to Fondamente Nuove! Thanks to all those people who gave us directions.
Despite an early booking, hotel had no room ready,or indeed a record of our booking!. We were to be redirected to an alternative hotel before staff agreed to prepare a larger room to suit our needs.
Great location, just a few meters from waterbus stop, friendly and helpful staff.
Nice hotel on a relaxing Island. Easy access to the main Venice Islands (10 mins by boat).
helpful and friendly staff, The hotel offered a comfortable bed and room and is only a 50m walk to the water boat station. Very convenient to get to the main tourist spots, shopping and bars.
The Hotel area itself was quiet with little life in the evening. The rooms had thin walls and so can here other guests coming in and out of their rooms or walking down the stairs.
Small, friendly, comfortable and very well situated for vaparetto stop (Faro) and for restaurant in the evening.
the staff was absolutely wonderful!
room was very tiny! too many very narrow stairs with no elevators.
