My room 116 was like brand new, A/C is cold, I slept better than at home! Being in the back of the hotel it was quiet. Central to all the shopping and restaurants much more than the hotels near the ferries.
Better directions to the roof top patio
Great place to stay
Staff were great there is lots to do even if you are traveling alone. Good food good beers and a great games room. I visited in the fall but would be awesome in the summer.
The bed wasn't great but not much worse than you would find anywhere else. Very dark in big bad Johns
Norma was great!
Norma helped me get checked in and spent time helping me decide what to visit during me trip. She was very professional & friendly. Best part of my visit.
Well kept older property
Good housekeeping and front desk crew, all facilities working, excellent location, good value. I didn't care for the continental breakfast, but McDonalds istwo blocks.
Have been staying for years. Best value in Victoria. Always stay and eat in the restaurants too - especially important now as drinking and driving is out and my husband cannot walk long distances. We tell our friends!
The walls are a little thin and the conversation in the next room was like they were sitting in our room. The bed is a little hard - could be a better mattress. Not really what I would describe as a "deluxe room" and if I was a new client I might be disappointed. We know what to expect so we are satisfied. Affordable does not have to mean "cheap". The bedspreads and drapes look like they are from the 80's - do one floor at a time and spruce it up - solid colours are better than old flowers. The bathrooms are fine. We owned a small waterfront motel in Qualicum and it was "affordable" but the rooms looked attractive. Like you, we had a faithful clientele - keep us happy.
