Pros: Welcoming, warm staff (with special mention to Vivianna); the rooms and particularly the comfort of the bed and the amazing shower; the plentiful, delicious breakfast each morning; and the phenomenal rooftop pool. The common areas are serene and beautiful, and the hotel is centrally located within the walled city.
Cons: The concierge staff, while very responsive and helpful in advance of the trip, dropped the ball in following thru on all reservations and we missed out on a day trip to the Rosario Islands. The mishap was apparently due to a miscommunication with a former hotel employee. The hotel ended up treating us to a very nice city tour, but we were disappointed to have missed out on the island excursion. This was avoidable (hotel staff confirmed the itinerary just days before the trip); however, things worked out relatively satisfactorily in the end, and the hotel staff was very apologetic.

Cons: Switched rooms- way musty on bottom floor. There was construction by the pool the whole time. Literally saw dust and foam bit floating into the pool. They were also staining which is not what you want to be smelling on a 90 degree day in the sweltering sun at the only place to cool down. Honestly, why this couldn’t have been done in the evening is beside me. hot tub was cold and no sauna or steam room which sucked. For me I value my body and what I’ve loved To give it a nice soak after traveling so far.

Pros: We only stayed for a short amount of time but for the time that we were there, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is located near the public beaches and is surrounded by a bunch of locally owned shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Cartagena.

Pros: The staff is outstanding and waiting to serve you as soon as you walk in with a smile. The rooms may be small but the space is well designated and the comfort level is excellent. The rooms are very quiet with good padding between them and you are given a refreshing drink when you walk into the hotel which was excellent

Pros: I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this hotel. You have all the amenities you could want from a top grade hotel, paired with a friendly/warm staff who make it feel more like a boutique hotel. The restaurant on the first floor (Harry Sasson) was also great. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Cartagena!

Cons: Attention by clerk and room were very old, and very far from installations. It was the last room of the hotel. When enter to the room it was full of Mosquitos and smell around was nasty.

I expected quality service from the housekeeping staff...returning to my room and finding no toilet paper is unacceptable....having one glass in the bathroom for a room for 4 people is unacceptable. My one and only significant complaint is with customer service and being subjected to maintenance activity on a much too regular basis.

When you ask for help in the front desk they treat you as you committed a crime when you are paying for the services the offer and do not accomplish.

Pros: The location was very convenient during my stay due to the hotel being right in the middle between old town Cartagena and the airport. Short taxi ride.
Cons: The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The mattress is only 4 inches thick and the pillow was very hard. I woke up with a sore neck. Not recommended for a long stay. The parking situation is also a little weird. You take your car to the parking garage on an elevator (that’s fine). But then you have to come down on the same elevator, on foot with your suitcases through a back door into the reception to take the elevator to your floor. The back way was in parts tight due to pallets maybe being stored in the hall. Also through that hall is the back entrance to unfinished business offices. It was just a little bazaar.

Pros: Right across the beach which I loved. Next to a good cheap breakfast place towards the left. The shower was great and you can open the window from the room a little and can hear the waves. Everything is super modern and clean. The hotel isn’t far from the walled city. About 5 minutes in taxi. My husband even walked to the hotel from there. I stayed with my husband and one year old. We all loved it. Including the baby. You can see the beach from hallways as well and the staff is very nice and helpful and professional . I would definitely stay again. We stayed 3 nights. Also every time I asked for new towels they cAme right away
