They could have actually had a car there instead of accepting a reservation with no car.

The employees tried several unscrupulous tactics to cheat me out of money: they tried to give me a car from a smaller class than I reserved, they repeatedly added extra "insurance" packages when they thought I wasn't paying attention, and when I returned the car the agent tried ripping out the hubcaps to make it look like I had damaged the car. If you do rent from them, make sure to use a credit card that will have your back and protect you from these thieves.

Slow and obnoxious aerviceTook for ever to deliver and receive the car. I had no damage to the vehicle and was not charged any extras (I barely used the car) but found the level of inspection and threats of charges for anything remotely approaching damage obnoxious. The roads aren't perfect in México so of course tiny dents can happen without any way to avoid them. Normal wear and tear shouldn't be something a rental company threatens you with. They need training on better customer management.
HIGHLY NOT RECCOMEND!!!!We have made car reservation 2 or 3 weeks before, but when we came to the office they said us that they don't have any car available and didn't propose no any other solution. They didn't contact us before to say that they don't have a car, they said that they don't have our contact information despite without it i could not make a reservation! Of course it was not possible to find another car urgent because it was a Christmas and it totally destroyed our holidays! I started to appeal to the main office and they answer me only after 3 DAYS: "Dear Ms. S..., Thank you for choosing National for your car rental needs! My name is P.... I will be happy to help you today. Please let me begin by apologizing. I am escalating your incident to the corporate office. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Have a wonderful day! Sincerely, P..... National Email Customer Service Representative" No any soultion of the problem. HIGHLY NOT RECCOMEND!!!!

Poor serviceI didn't like it, because they didn't give me the things that they promised. The insurance didn't cover everything and the service was awful

No cars availableMy flight was delayed for 4 hours. When it finally arrived after midnight most of the rental counters were closed but, anyway, there was no National car rental counter to be seen. My reservation said there would be someone there to meet me and put me on a shuttle to the rental office but there was noone. Took a taxi to my hotel and called National's local number in the morning. Was told they have no cars available. Period. They found my reservation on the computer but just said "sorry, if we had one available we'd give it to you but we don't".
