Guatemala City hotels near El Obelisco

Cons: It doesn't always include free WiFi. Last time I stayed it was $10 extral.

Cons: Slow internet, the toilette was replaced but they left too much white caulking around.

Cons: Some of the staff seemed to be very uptight and not as friendly as one who expect out of a Barcelo establishment.

Cons: Beds were a bit firm.

Cons: Restaurant prices on high side. WiFi fee $ 10 an aberration.

Cons: Too close to the airport. You can hear the plane in your room. Some of the staff in the lobby are not friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but the service was poor.

Cons: There are many medical groups in Guatemala doing wonderful service. We were among them. However, please request that they not wear scrubs into the restaurant. We know where those medical uniforms have been and they shouldn’t be around food.

Cons: Would be nice to know in advance that alcohol cannot be ordered after 8 pm

Cons: Two issues on reception desk 1) somebody drop off a package for me Thursday I asked to receptionist about my package he sent me two another desk they don't have, Friday morning asked again and they not have my package, but when I called to sender say left my package in reception Friday night time ask again nobody know. So I comeback to NY and not sure if Monday Hotel Return THE Package To THE sender. I not receive my important package. Poor communication

Cons: The general location is good, but it is a block or two from the retail and restaurant area.

Cons: I found nothing to be displeased with.

Cons: Remodeling going and construction was being noisy in the morning. Other than that it was a great experience.

Cons: Hotel was under renovations. No snack shop. No vending machines. Swimming pool was closed. Unless you wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant everything you needed you have to leave the hotel. Leaving is ok in the daytime but most suggested that after dark it's safer to stay inside the hotel. If you go out don't have anything in your hands. ie phone, camera, purse. We were very disappointed that when we checked in as a couple we were given a room with two dbl beds instead of a room with one bed. Room was cramped and since we spent so much time in our room it would have been nice to sit and watch tv and not always have to sit on the bed. View from window was a nasty look at what must be the maintance area with hot water heaters. The hotel didn't seem anywhere near full so we were disappointed with our room with no view and two beds when I'm pretty sure nicer rooms were available.

Cons: I will like to see a wider selection of food in the breakfast buffet.

Cons: The hotel is going through a major remodeling which is not communicated. There is literally construction noise from 7am to 7PM. Additionally, there seems to be a problem with the showers where it goes from hot water to boiling hot water.

Cons: I made reservation through Kajak. When I got there they did not have it in the system. Fortunately I had the reservation in my iPhone. She kept telling me they did not have a reservation for me. When I asked if they had a room available she kept on answering they did not have a reservation. I had to be very assertive and told her to call her superior for if they had a room they should accommodate me and figure things out later with the booking information I gave them in plain email confirming. Now it is a good thing Spanish is my native language and I pursued this politely but forcefully. She did not want to give me a room when they had plenty available. Finally, she called her supervisor after setting me aside for a while and not attempting to solve the problem. I had valid passport, credit card and reservation in hand. When she finally called her boss, she told her to take care of me right away. Why the attitude and stubborness I do not know.

Cons: The shower was very dirty I ask to change room, it seem they don’t care about the cleanliness. They changed me room but the put me in the 3rd floor where is near to meeting rooms and the entrance and exit of the waiters, very noisy. Very bad for a Radisson it seem they don’t keep a stardard. The staff was nice. The space in the room is good but should be clean. The beds no to much comfortable.
